And good morning from a overcast but mild East Midlands of the UK.

Nothing planned for today apart from dropping Mrs HF and friend off
for the train to Sheffield and their shopping expedition.
Hey ho, each to their own.

Dark here as well, but caused by big dark clouds and lots of rain.

Specialists appointment regarding a new knee his morning.
Good luck, I can't afford the time off work, only get 4 weeks sick pay.
Ask if he has one for Shrek whilst you're there.

We are cursed with knees originally designed for clambering about in the trees and for tootling about on four legs, this bipedalism was a big mistake.

Could be Cap'n. Pleased to see the Muppets back advertising crumpets. Nobody says "nom nom nom" though.

Grey Street Newcastle generally regarded as one of the finest streets in England, a wee river used to flow down there called the Hort burn before it became all posh.

I think you'll find that it was the Lort Burn - a typical name for an open sewer (lort being the word for sh!t).
This was the Lort Burn, one of several now built-over waterways which flowed downhill through Newcastle to the Tyne.

Lort

More lort

I suppose most of the rivers and their tributaries were open sewers back then reckon the population just got used to the smell of poo.
I remember Colombo in Ceylon in the sixties,no matter what part of the city you went was the overwhelming smell of human shit,I suppose the locals were so accustomed to it they could no longer smell it.

Around the threshold of R/W 27 at Bombay/Mumbai there is a small 'village' and when they can't get enough wood to fuel their cooking fires the burn sh*t, fills the aircraft with a quaint aroma just before take off! Limeygal may remember this experience?

The 'ghost' pages are breeding. Now up to nine.
They must be closely related to wire coat hangers then. Put two or more of them in the wardrobe and next time you open the door there's a whole herd of them.

I had that quaint experience coming in to land there. As you come over the threshold there's this wonderful mixed smell of curry and poo.
Somebody had a sense of humour though as the first thing you saw as you got down was a big sign advertising Air India which said

THERE'S AN AIR ABOUT INDIA

Good morning. Once again it's FRIDAY.
WX sit normal.
