It is indeed the proper word to describe the condition I was speaking of, a place of apparent calm amid windy chaos where the leaves gather to get their breath.

Haunted Trousers???
Not the pottering about type, semi respectable, one could wear em to the corner shop without urchins shrieking and rushing home terrified to their mums on catching a sight of em, however not the kind one would wear to a Buckingham Palace Garden Party perhaps.
Cant remember where one gorrem now, anyway the haunting bit, they have a button down flap on the right back pocket, the pocket into which one always deposits ones wallet, tiz of sufficient depth as not to require buttoning down ie the wallet is well down and snug in this pocket, one never buttons pocket flaps down!,yet... thrice of late one has reached for ones wallet to find the flap down and buttoned and found myself fumbling and wondering what was amiss! what was amiss was the flap was buttoned down.
One is tempted to take these satanic kecks to a suitable crossroad at midnight and bury them thense whilst mumbling certain ancient phrases one is privy too that will seal them for a thousand years, however these trousers are a fine fit and one is fond of em,perhaps they can be saved by the intervention of a priest of the Church of Rome,I dont think Mr Keefs lot are much use at this kind of thing now.

Morning peeps dullish rather than plain dull this morning, not wearing the sinister self buttoning kecks this morning, a pair of black sitting about trouser has been selected as one has nothing specific planned for today that will involve a lot in the way of moving about.

What's it about redders?....

......we could all contribute one line each until it was done. No?? There's enough expertise in here to take on any subject (mine is trivia).

Has the world stopped turning? Day after a derby match and Mr [email protected] is neither ranting nor crowing! FWIW (I was there) a draw was probably fair. High quality defending (mostly) though not too hard against under par attacks.
I thought it a fair result. We definitely missed Silva and Aguero.
Still in the US might go to the Sharks game tomorrow. Back home on Sunday for 6 days, then Cloggieland.

Mr Draper, as you will need to use a sharp instrument to detach offending pocket fastener, I suggest removal of trousers from ones' person prior to this procedure.

We could all certainly help with the essay, reddo ... we could even ask the FSL to include one of his famous poems for you. (If he hasn't removed one or two critical fingers with the sharp instrument from the previous post ... )

Good morning.
No comment on the weather yet, as beyond the windows it as black as blackness with all the colour sucked out.
I don't think anything is actively happening though.

Edited to add that one hour later it is coming down in bucket loads.

Reddo promise yourself a treat when it's finished. A nice glass of red would do for me

Grey mizzle here, turning to rain later. Geneva standard for October (and November, December, January....)
