I hereby declare that I believe every word of the message I received from Lagos describing in exquisite detail the character of one of those who post on this forum
My, my, you really do live in the gutter.

If the West put pressure on China to stop supporting the Little Fat Dictator, he and his nasty little regime would implode within a month.

Why the West has not pressured China in this manner is the real question we need to be asking.
China does not respond to pressure from the West. China does exactly what China wants.

Good move, John!

From the Kimster to the Trumpster, our very own orange-hued, grease-fueled dumpster fire of American politics ....

Conventional wisdom is that one should never switch horses in mid-stream, but our John has never been one for conventional wisdom.

Let us know how this one works out, John. For many in America the Donald is even more repugnant than the Kimster, even more of a threat since we do have quite a nuclear arsenal that he might end up in ultimate control of.

That repugnance and the hideous hair seem to make them somewhat analogous, when that may be why you are now off in search of a new rock for your limpet-like self to fasten on to. Oh, almost forgot, Donald is another "reliable business partner," one who's only gone 4 times bankrupt, where Kim's pretty much continuously bankrupt.

So, bankrupt, whacko charlatans with weird hair ... now we know how John's tastes run.

Oh .... I am a Yank, and such subtleties are lost upon us, plus our John can be notably Delphic in his utterances.

After all, John did just nail me with an insight from far-off and long ago "Lagos," (even if that was actually Isolo, one of its suburbs) so that I tend to take whatever he says quite seriously. He really is extremely and uniquely insightful about North Korea, offering up a vision of that place not to be found elsewhere, aside from in the more fevered outbursts of North Korean propaganda. The man is a fount of knowledge, warm red leatherette and all.

The thought of Trump eye to eye with China (or Russia for that matter) is a very effective laxative.

I love guessing games!

"Why do you think North Korea speaks so highly of Donald Trump?" asks John Hill, our foremost commentator on all things North Korean.

I guess that would be for the same reason that John Hill speaks so highly of North Korea, both succumbing to yet another weird "fascination of the abomination." (This is a term that first appeared in Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness, although it seems to have been prefigured in Herman Melville's Moby-Dick, in Chapter XLII, THE WHITENESS OF THE WHALE.)

What normal people either never encounter or else flee too quickly to succumb to, some of us actively seek out to surrender to, whether that is North Korea, Nigeria, or merely the Donald Trump. Why do that? Well, there's a sick thrill to surrendering to some primal impulse to dance and shout on that mad riverbank, to wave spears and goggle at the horrified more-civilized who look upon us as they pass by on their creaky little river steamer.

The most comical part of this surrender is that the person or nation who is lost often holds himself or itself hard to be privy to some higher knowledge, when really they are right down there in the primal mud among the lowest of the low. Not the weakest, though, just the lowest. Mud, hunger, barbed wire, bellicose threats, brutal acts, a bit of easy money ... all these things have power.

How's that for a guess, John? Did I get close? Well, how should you know, since you do not seem to know yourself, what with all your stuff and nonsense about North Korea, and the USA too. Take that for a rhetorical question and just carry on as usual.

Maybe you are right.

People like to say that China should do 'this' or 'that' regarding the DPRK but for many years Pyongyang was ideologically closer to old Moscow than Beijing.

But Pyongyang no longer has an ideology as such. Just a dictatorial dynasty.

Besides, Koreans are not particularly fond of Han Chinese.

Meanwhile petty provocations continue..

N. Korea Threatens to Fire at US, S. Korea Troops' Lights - ABC News

"Floodlight directed at the KPA side at random is taken as an intolerable means of provocation and it will be the target of merciless pinpoint shots," the KPA's chief security officers at Panmunjom said in the statement, carried by the North's state media.

"The true aim sought by the provocateurs through their recent act is to seriously get on the nerves of the KPA soldiers, lead them to take due countermeasures and label them as provocation," it said.

Kim Jong-Un owes more than £225,000 in London congestion charge for just THREE CARS

Kim Jong-Un owes more than £225,000 in congestion charge fees - on just a handful of motors.

The North Korean “Axis of Evil” dictator has allowed embassy staff in London to disregard the charge, as well as ignoring £7,305 in parking fines.

Foreign and Commonwealth Office figures show the size of the debt that is related to just three cars, but involves almost 2,000 breaches of the charge.

The revelations come in a week of turmoil at the Ealing property after the deception of one of the diplomats.

The North Korean embassy is in a normal suburban house in nearby Ealing, west London

The Norks are probably upset because it shows their citizens that the filthy capitalist running dogs in the South can have lights on at night.
