Now seems like an appropriate time for some MP.

The hashtag KIMJONGUNDEAD is trending on Twitter. First time I saw it I thought he'd turned into a Zombie!

Big question: Is the train parked in the station at LFO's private resort being readied for a state funeral?, or is he simply avoiding coronavirus while recovering?

How ironic! The first Covid-19 victim in NK is the top man?

A couple of days ago I posted a photo from his last public appearance on 12 April showing he was the only one not wearing a mask, but the post was removed...

IF it was just a stent, recovery is normally very quick. I was walking around the next day and discharged to go home 48 hours after mine.
Perhaps of interest - when I had my heart attack and stent (1998), it was done at a hospital that had open heart surgery capability. The reason was, if it went wrong, they'd have to go in immediately in order to save my life. Maybe such a precaution isn't the norm in NK?

First victim of Coronavirus in NK was reported some time back in this very thread.

Let's hope that his successor will have a more world-open view than predecessors.

From an article in the Sunday Times:-

Other unconfirmed reports, attributed to senior party sources in Beijing, said Kim had died after the Chinese medical team arrived too late to save him following failed heart surgery. In one version, an operation to insert a stent went wrong because a North Korean doctor’s hands were shaking so badly.

Depending on what you read, it’s the bat***t younger sister, the uncle, the outward looking wife, the lazy playboy half brother, or the general who has effectively been number 2 in the country but is not a Kim.

Expect a lot of killing by whoever does follow anyway. Fat Wun wasn’t shy about removing threats, having fed one of his uncles to starving dogs, assassinated his brother in Kuala Lumpur, and used anti aircraft guns and mortars to remove rivals. Then there’s also the issue of the new boss having to show the army and population at large who is in command, like by sinking a South Korean Corvette, shelling a South Korean village, or launching new Nuclear and Missile tests, all of which little Rocket Man did to quell internal dissent. I wouldn’t be surprised if we actually miss him after his successor makes their mark.

I can beat you on that one, Open heart and in later years a repeat but not through the chest but with a standby saw bones. Recovery pretty straight forward while they ensure your lungs and kidneys calm down. But the more major risk is the possible wound infection.

No opinion on the Phat one, but I suspect our spies have a good idea and the smart move is to wait it out before sending a get-well card

We should be the first to send a get well card - for shits and giggles.

For tdracer I hope I never run into that, myself, but that's a good way to set up the "but what if" scenario. Yeah, one wonders how they were doing things ... and I'll wait until the South Koreans speak up since I think they may have as good an intel picture on their neighbor as anyone does. Maybe better.

Well, the portly Un is known for having a pack or so of fags every day and washing the taste down with a dram or two or three. Thus his health going into this was not the best. Who knows, but maybe they just have him shunted away while the Coronavirus is extent.

If this is true, perhaps the surgeon did a most heroic deed?

Sis looks like a mean and calculating piece of work though. The absolute terror one must live with in that "country" with that clan at the helm is hard to imagine.
