Yup that's the one, I think if everyone who knew and turned a blind eye to this were to hand in their resignation as they should, there would be very few police, councillors, politicians or care workers left in employment up there.

This is as big or bigger than the Jimmy savile story but I would put good money on it getting far less coverage in the media. It will be interesting to see how many people will be named in the papers before they are questioned as CR was?

Sorry about that, I hope you did not spend the whole 48 minutes trying to work out who CR/CO was

Well the PCC has resigned, but not from his post as the PCC but only from the Labour party, that's 2 resignations he has made in his politacal career now, let's hope the 3rd will follow soon.

Of course they acted quickly.

Chatted with the BBC, Pre recorded an interview about the raid,
let them know the timing of the raid so they could have a camera
and a helicopter there ......... 5 cars, 8 cops, obviously no shortage
of resources there !!!

Like gift wrapping a story for the media !

Pity the lot that DIDN'T investigate the sex crimes could be as good
but we know it's not nearly as sexy as knocking off a British Tall poppy
which will cover us in glory and media attention

Shaun Wright was branded the laziest pcc in 2013

I bet he is the hardest working one today, just trying to justify why he should not resign and not actually doing the job we are paying him to do.

Like so many of the prison sentences these days, it doesn't seem long enough to me.

I wonder how many more young girls got dragged into this sordid affair after the SYP knew what was going on. That is probably the worst part of the whole business.
And it isn't just Rotherham, there are other towns in the North where it has been allegedly happening ..... same ethnic background, same type of victims and, no doubt, the same cover up.

One of UK posted this in the Military forum thread on ID cards as it followed on from what I said about the focus on the wrong thing.

I know it's the DM but sums up my views.

From sex abuse gangs to jihadis, the State's fear of seeming 'racist' is letting evil thrive, writes MANZOOR MOGHAL | Mail Online

"there are other towns in the North where it has been allegedly happening ..... same ethnic background, same type of victims and, no doubt, the same cover up."

You know as well as I do from what goes on here in Oz, if it occurs in one town, it is occurring in another. ie Forced and Underage Marriages !

So I would expect it to occur elsewhere.

What the report above highlights is most of the victims were white, not black !

500N .... Google the National Union of Journalists in U.K. and read their advice to members of how racial "events" should be reported then you will have some idea of why knowledge of these "events" takes so long to surface.
And yes you're correct it does happen in Oz also, in Sydney for example.

The first step of showing that "Lessons have been learned".

Other translation - "Better get out there and show we are doing something before we get fired, anybody know who we can pick up?"
