Victorian lady fettler photographed in the act of fettling.
Yon fettler is actually showing one of her ankles, ric. This will just not do at all, posting an image guaranteed to inflame the senses of the menfolk hereabouts. Go to the norty step immediately!

Morning all, grey and wet, sea is still quite warm so insulates us quite well, temp. currently 10.9C. Unfortunately I have to go out shortly as we're discussing the winter maintenance programme for the boat and then I'm supposed to helping out on the restoration of this water mill, I think the latter might well be delayed.

Weather not due to break until early evening tomorrow, over this side of the bay, Wodrick.

Mrs IB left a paint brush outside to dry over two weeks ago. Most surprised to find it was not there when she went to find it this morning. Seems to have forgotten the high winds and rain we have had here in that period.

Turned to max. What a terrible thing to happen. He has had surgery, is in an induced coma, and is in a critical condition. Fingers crossed for a good outcome.

All these complaints about the cold. 40 degs here at the moment just send some of your ice please. I was painting the ship at 06.00 this morning and still dripping sweat into the paint.

We had an injured bat (Peter's Epauletted Fruit Bat) in the outside bathroom yesterday. By the evening it had crawled up the shower curtain. This morning it had gone. Hope it recovered and was not taken out by a mongoose.

That's a big mangle.
Tut, tut, mr. draper.

Such chauvinism can get one in serious trouble round here.

Careful, young Blacksheep, that Chauvin was a froggie, you know, and I'm not sure the FSL will feel flattered by the comparison!

Chauvers used to be the slang term for offspring up here. it seems to have a different meaning now.
As in
"Your Honor my client Mr Draper has a wife and 17 chauvers to support and the items found in his possession had just fallen off the back of a passing horse and cart"

Today, heavy rain, Wed - heavy rain, Thurs- heavy rain, Fri - heavy rain. There's a pattern here. Sat. - sunny and chilly.

Translates to early snow for all the ski hills. That should please all the Aussies up here for staffing and playing in the snow. Does Oz notice they lose 10% of the population to us in the winter?

It's the Pineapple Express flowing up from the Hawaiian regions. Better than the Arctic Vortex or Polar Conveyor.

Jeremy Clarke and team in town. Should be a wet TV show later on then.
