There's two things I'd be doing, if I was that house owner.

1. Buy a Lotto ticket.

2. With the winnings, build a boulder-deflection wall, uphill from the house.

Just before Christmas a Utah couple were not so lucky:

"ROCKVILLE – A large rockslide in Rockville at the west end of the town has completely demolished a home on the 300 West Block of Main Street and two people are confirmed dead.

“Anyone in the home is deceased,” Sgt. Garen Brecke of the Springdale Police Department said at 7:18 p.m., “they have identified two people deceased at this time. We don’t think there are anymore at this time.”
