And thus we have the answer :
Liechtenstein, surrounded by Austria and CH, Chocolate Heaven
Uzbekistan, surrounded by Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.

I would have thought that at least one country in Africa would be double landlocked too, but looking at the map shows that none is.

Back to OH I suppose .............

Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan both, in theory, have a border with Russia (via the Caspian Sea) and is perhaps a questionable answer.

Food for thought.

Good point, but the Caspian Sea is actually a lake and itself entirely landlocked, although it is salty. It is generally accepted that on that basis, the countries that surround it are landlocked, having no access to the open sea.

Capes, I agree... not being a geographer and all that. As it's open House, try this one. It's in Yorkshire... but where?

Nope, not Holmfirth, but not too many miles away from the actual location.

Not Horsforth either... getting colder. This village has a 'Porters Lodge' and an 'Old School House'. Elevation - 967 feet.

Uffers and Hobo are both right. I apologise for the delay confirming. Over to you Uffers!

It was a Friday or Saturday afternoon and the place was crawling with people in varying states of sobriety. I almost had to repel boarders - two very drunk young ladies carrying glass glasses in an inflatable canoe wanted to go up the lock with us.
