I think the bearing from Madrid you gave is somewhat misleading and it's Tui in the province of Pontevedra just inside Spain on the border with Portugal.

OH if correct.

Edit: on reflection perhaps the bearing wasn't too far adrift.

Duckbutt : Funnily enough I had the same thought as you but wasn't as diligent as you in searching. In the meantime, oldpax has gone to bed but PMd me the answer and ................. it is Tui, I should have got it as I've been there .......... but you win and have control. Good challenge.

Cheers.

Thanks Capes. Unfortunately because of other commitments I do not have the time to service a challenge properly and as it would be rather inconsiderate to have people hanging around twiddling their thumbs I must declare OH.

Oldpax, great challenge! Capetonian provided an almost exhaustive list of hilltop palaces, all of which I'd like to see.

Open House, is it. See what you can do with this, then. The photo was taken from the canal a month or so ago and I don't think you can see it from the street. The name of the city will be sufficient.

"This should go quickly."
Sorry oldpax, making this observation is a joke when you can't be arsed to monitor your challenges and reply reasonably promptly. The correct answer has been posted for 45 mins or so now and as far as I know you can't blame time differences - your 'green light' has been on for all that time.

Your challenges are top class but I can't help feeling your tardiness in responding somewhat spoils this thread.

Duckbutt, leaving the computer on 24x7 is not uncommon, so you might see a "green" supposedly indicating the person is online when in fact he/she is sound asleep.
