One has to wonder why his brother left the Socialist Republic of Europe
That's what they make you believe, EU is the most republican, conservative in the world, see austerity and public service cut right now. Romney couldn't do better.

Oh dear, we are becoming higher and mightier than all the others. Must have run out of things to say on the original subject. Pathetic.

On the February 16, 2009, cover of Newsweek was the statement, "We Are All Socialists Now." The subtitle went on to say, "The Perils and Promise of the New Era of Big Government."
The gist of the article, from the online version of the magazine, was that the United States is headed in the direction that Europe has already traveled. Newsweek noted that 10 years ago, U. S. government spending was 34.3% of GDP (Gross Domestic Product) compared with 48.2% in Europe. Next year, U.S. government spending is expected to grow to 39.9% of GDP compared with an anticipated 47.1% in Europe. The gap between the two economies is narrowing.

What's the problem? The problem is that a large percent of European government spending goes toward the entitlements that European citizens have been given and now expect. No matter that some European governments are verging on the edge of financial collapse. For example, says Mark Steyn in his book, America Alone (See reference information below), by 2040, "projected public pensions liabilities are expected to rise to about 6.8% of GDP." In Greece, continues Steyn, the figure will be 25%. (Page 44) If the current trends continue in the United States, however, we can expect the percentage of government spending to rise in the coming decades.

The likely voter's reaction to the growing crisis? "I've got mine and I don't really care about the generations after me who will have to pay for it." That is basically the reaction of voters in European countries.
Brilliant KAG.. absolutely hysterically funny.

oh you were being serious ?

MikeEcho's last post and accompanying videos are a flagrant example of how the current conflict between Israel and the Palestinians will never be resolved, the religious extremists, bigots, zealots and ultra-nationalists on all sides having gained complete control..., not just limited to those situated in the middle-East, but those in (or at least with access to the corridors of power) in the USA, Europe and elsewhere.

I just have one question, concerning all those undeclared nukes that Israel possesses: How many of these "nutcases" in 2012 work for Israel's agencies controlling the maintenance, deployment and perhaps eventual launch of these rogue Israeli nukes? Perhaps it's only just a question of time, when, rather than if, that one of those "We killed Jesus and are proud of it" assholes in one of MikeEcho's videos above tries to bring about the Biblical Armageddon...?!

Put aside the possible threat from an eventual Iranian nuclear capability for the present, what the free-World really needs very rapidly is a missile defense shield against Israeli rogue nukes...?!

Mike Echo, I note from your videos that Israel has its share of chauvinists and a-h_o_l_e_s. The one with the puppet was at least cute, but no less of one.*

This should surprise nobody. Human beings have the potential to be a-h_o_l_e_s or to be a bit nicer.

Nobody get a pass on that potential.

Since I have no life, I actually watched that mind-numbing debate between Dershowitz and Chomsky. What a pair of self important prixxxxx. Two Ivy League academics, one who thinks if they'd just do it his way all would be ducky, and the other who hates and has always hated anything America does and stands for, while making a career out of messing up bright young people's minds.

And the questioners, seeking their one moment to make their spiel before a camera.

It's very fortunate that international solutions are not worked out by Ivy League academic elitists. It's sad that they have such influence over those who do seek solutions.

Indeed, obgraham.

William F. Buckley famously said: "I would rather live in a society governed by the first two thousand names in the Boston telephone directory than in a society governed by the two thousand faculty members of Harvard University."

Caco
I can name you a famous five and all would've let you "have" them as well.

Strange how LAJ didn't post anything about them to counter his "stupid 'Mericans" posts. Him being "fair and balancd" and all.

Does it gall him to see all those stupid 'Mericans leading the world? Never mind those are the ones that re-elected that Europe-despising/UK repeatedly insulting Barry.

Wonder how the "Maldives" will fare when Argentina goes belly up again and needs a distraction? I'm betting Barry and Hillary stay oh-so-nuanced and stay out of it.

I'm here Brick,

What's your point ?

Fair and balanced is a nuance of Fox News isn't it ?

How is the USA working out after another Republican defeat ? You're al' Dems now according to BenThere. Enjoy

Umm, don't think the USA put much into the Falklands did it ? We did it pretty much on our own. Not like GWB who put together the 'coalition of the willing' or not so willing as it turned out in Iraq.

WMDs anyone ?

Nice one Cooda

Loved the way he kept cool. I would have needed a surgeon to sew my sides back together.

Sigh...how quickly they forget. Although the short attention span demonstrated does explain the recent election...

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worl...-Maldives.html

Not only did The One try to refer to those islands off the coast of Argentina by the Argies' preferrred name, but he botched it up as well. You might want to ponder his use of the globe.

But it sure appears that he's spun it to the Pacific and well away from Europe. Enjoy...

And just to keep the thread on topic, the UN voted on a Palestinean non-member "state" today. Despite the efforts of Barry and Hillary.

Well done.
