You are allowed to fly but don't know how to turn off the caps lock?

I did mine under 6 and was doing solo spins at 8. First solo loop at 10. It was a while back though. In the 60's and the champ didn't have a battery.

In utero.

Luxury! I had to do mine before aeroplanes were invented, an our dad would stop us with a seat belt if we crashed.

Jeez, how is it even possible to taxi, takeoff, land, taxi and inbetween cover general handling, EFATO, slow flight and circuits within 6 hours never mind the 4 mentioned above.

I managed my solo in 8:3something with some repeats in training so 7-8 hours seems possible.

And why wouldn't you!
1986, when every month was Movember, men were men and sheep were scared...
Particularly when Devo were around.
Jeez, how is it even possible to taxi, takeoff, land, taxi...
So you also trained at Archerfield . TBQH I can't remember exactly but I think it was about ten hours. Will have to dig the log book out of the Box Collection that lives under the family homestead.

The collection has been the catalyst for much Dad/daughter bonding over the years; 'so, about those boxes...ya reckon you could put them somewhere else'? 'Wellll...it's just that (insert excuse number 156)...and you've got all that room which you're not using anyway...'
Some of you may relate, and not to my POV.

A friend of mine in San Diego soloed 26 aircraft on his 16th birthday, three of them were helicopters.

Made my Air Knocker 65, C172, C150, PA28 look lame.

My cousin (rest her soul ) married an opal miner whose family farmed shiny rocks up near the Queensland/Territory border. It was 100km of pretty dodgy road from the house to the mailbox, potholes that could swallow roadtrains etc, so they taught her to fly the Robbie for purposes of collecting said mail, as well as milk and bread and so forth.

Her first four trips were "under instruction". The Fifth was a case of "everyone else is busy, hop in the chopper and nip to town" - from whenceforth she was Captain of the R22, alone under God.

I don't know how many hours those four trips entailed, but someone versed in a knowledge of mathematics and the cruise speed of the Robinson R22 could probably tell us.

Wasn't the flying machine that got her in the end, but cancer. She was 43.

Edited for spelling and to add that I don't believe the regulatory authorities were troubled much by any paperwork involved with her "instruction".

Too bad.
FWIW, the Robbie was probably safer than the road.
