Do you have a point to make Hempy, I certainly don't hate Muslims or gays. Some of the nicest people I have meet are members of the above groups.

Or are you just as guilty of grouping and being what you accusing others of?

Touche.
I believe the pool manager took one look at them and said that as part of the deal they'd have to provide their own lifeguard , so I don't know whether you'd want to be peeking.

I dunno, plenty of Wiccans are getting a bit long in the tooth these days, though they don't let that get in the way of things (or maybe it's thyngs ).
Witchcraft Today - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It's a bit of a niche religion, mainly (IMO) created and maintained by disaffected Catholics who still enjoy ceremony, mysticism, incense and chanting. Whatever it may be, certainly age is no object when it comes to prancing around waving a wand while wearing fancy robes. That said, they're a small minority who are generally happy to fly (on broomsticks maybe? ) beneath the radar, so I'm not surprised if you haven't heard of them.

Personally I hope they drain it afterwards
Please enlighten us Worrals to what you think they get up too. You must have a very good imagination.

Worrals, you ask if they pay a fee. I can't answer that, but I do know of one Council in Melbourne (the municipality is named Meldon or something similar) that forked out $40,000 for a screen/curtain that would cover a large glass wall that allowed passers by to see into the indoor pool. The curtain was 'necessary' so the Muslim women could use the pool without being gawped at by m..m....m... men!

No, it's not Melton, bonisch. I understand it's some inner city area just north of the CBD that sports a council full of rabid lefties. The Council name isn't a suburb name (or not one I'm familiar with).

I have a plan.... Muslims can try a pork BBQ and a few beers. If they feel uncomfortable with that idea, they can leave the country.

Re the swimming pool curtain. Here's the link:

No Cookies | Herald Sun

Hefty bill for Muslim women's privacy at public swimming pool

RATEPAYERS could be stung up to $45,000 to install curtains at a public pool so Muslim women can have privacy during a female-only exercise classes.

The City of Monash has won an exemption from equal opportunity laws to run the sessions outside normal opening hours.

The council says the privacy screen is needed for "cultural reasons".

It follows moves by other councils to introduce women-only sessions for the Muslim community, such as Greater Dandenong asking a tribunal to approve a ban on uncovered shoulders and thighs for those attending a family event at a pool.

I listened to Macca on Sunday Morning on the EhBC this morning. One segment he did was of a Northern beaches (Collaroy?) Surf Club holding a (it sounds huge) surf boat event involving 100 surf boats to commemorate (and sort of) re-enact the ANZAC landing. The club has involved the local Turkish community, some of whom will be manning at least one boat.

Ian MacNamara interviewed the surf club bloke who was organising the event and a man who will be one of the crew on the "Turkish" boat.

Which brings me to my choke point. Macca enthusiastically described this fellow (who had a broad Australian accent) as "XXX is Turkish. He was born in Australia."

WTF?????

Surely this, in one throwaway sentence, is what's wrong with the disaster of multiculturalism. Surely to God anyone born here should describe himself - and be described by others -as Australian. How the *** can you be Turkish, but born in Australia?

I drive to Melbourne Airport. There is a sign by the side of the road welcoming me to some indigenous 'country' or other (no doubt paid for by rate payers, like the swimming pool curtain).

An Australian-born male is described as 'Turkish' (I've been to Turkey several times, and I bet he won't be emigrating there any time soon).

Media full of references to 'hyphen' Australians and 'communities' ('a Lebanese-Australian man', 'the Sudanese community').

To quote Mr Bolt, Australia is fast becoming 'A Nation of Tribes'.

Captain Dart ....... those signs are appearing all over the place. Two have appeared recently on the outskirts of where I live and I spotted another the other side of Geelong today, on the way to Torquay. Perhaps Mr.Andrews has more money in the kitty than we thought.

meadowrun, don't judge the book by it's PPRuNe cover. The handful of the repetitive 'doth complain too much' posters won the

ages ago. No one else bothers too much.
