Devil

I strongly suspect it's a furphy, but even so, wouldn't you love it if a letter like this actually got past SHY's minders and she was actually forced to read it in full?
I must admit that a very uncharitable thought crossed my mind when I read that, 7X7.

What if, mind you if, everyone who read the Larry Pickering quote actually printed it off and posted it via snail mail to SHY's office!

I wonder just what the effect would be of say, a couple of hundred copies of that letter suddenly lobbing up on her minders desks?

As for the thought of a few thousand copies doing so.....

With apologies to the writers of the musical "My Fair Lady')

Oh wouldn't it be luvverly!!

Ken .. "there is no excuse for corruption anywhere, any time".
Couldn't agree more, there are crooks everywhere as you say. The problem I have with union crooks is that unions were set up for the benefit of workers and at the present time in Oz they seem to be operating for the benefit of ex lawyers and the assorted hangers none of whom have ever got their hands dirty doing an honest days work and who seem to be involved with unions merely to get themselves elected to one of our many forms of government and, if failing that, into some sort of sinecure which pays them huge salaries the money for which ultimately originates from the workers who they claim to be so concerned about.
I'll quote a British journalist, who wrote the following about British trade unions but which I believe apply equally to their fellow organisations here in Australia .......
" Once upon a time when Labour owed more to Methodism than to Marx, it was a hallmark of progressive politics to attempt to minimise harm and maximise socially responsible behaviour.
But now, Labour chooses to attack socially responsible behaviour and provide instead rocket fuel for social devastation and individual misery".

We now have a Royal Commission into trade union malpractices where evidence has been given of wholesale fraud, threats of violence, corruption, links with known crime figures etc. etc. etc. yet the only answer that the Australian labour party and it's Parrots.... not you Ken.... both on this blog and in some of the M.S.M. is to keep referring to the likes of Kathy Jackson and her, alleged, $1 million, which seems to have morphed in the past two weeks from an alleged $700.000. This is the tactic used by the Shortens and the Ethels while completely ignoring the factual $20 million which Williamson purloined from the pockets of normal everyday union members.
Any trade unionist who followed events at the R.C. over the past months should have been dismayed by the number of highly paid people "working" in trade unions and superannuation offices... what economic knowledge does Bracks, for example, have to justify his employment with CBUS.The bloke was a primary school teacher and in his tenure as Premier of Victoria was known as 'Mirror Ball' for his oft stated intention to "I'll look into it". Just another one of the parasites living on the efforts of others. And what do we get from Shorten and the rest of the gang," it's all a witch hunt by the Liberals". Yeh, right mate!

Boz,

There's no argument from me but I will say that there's plenty of comment in the MSM about the Royal Commission being a political witch hunt. I see it this way: if a crime has been committed or is suspected to have been committed, the police are the go-to people, not a $60m Royal Commission. Once the Royal Commission presents its finding to parliament, the police take over. Why waste millions in a time of alleged 'budget emergency' when we have several existing law enforcement agencies?

I thought Hockey told a bunch of business people in NZ that there was no budget emergency only a few months ago, sort of explains a few things and why Pyne had an all expenses trip to the UK and the Vatican Abbott?s worms: Pyne's vacation and the Credlin domination

Another cut and paste, this one from the Andrew Bolt site.
The Fairfax media sites are getting hundreds of comments vilifying “white racist Anglo Australians” over the drunken abuse directed at an African train security guard in Queensland.

The trouble is that the drunk is an Arab with Algerian ancestry.
I look forward to your spin on this, Ethel.

Has anyone seen the video commissioned by Muslim Students' Association at Macquarie University where they put an actor in the streets playing the part of the Aussie bigot verbally abusing Muslims? The results they got were not quite what they were expecting. I believe it's on YouTube.

Ken ... there have been so many things brought into the open by this R.C. that we would never have otherwise heard about.
To name just one instance,
The leaking of the names, birth dates, postal and e mail addresses and superannuation contribution details of more than 400 CBUS members .....most of whom were not union members ..... to the NSW,CFMEU branch secretary without their permission. I'm sure that you appreciate the ramifications of just that instance of union malpractice never mind the theft of monies, stand over tactics etc. etc. etc.
It is odd that the labour movement calls this particular R.C. a witch hunt but is fully supportive of various other Royal Commissions where their own brand of dirty washing is not out there on display.
Ethel as usual continues to troll his/her lonely furrow and ignore any questions put to him on this site. Reminds me of many of the union meetings that I once attended in my past life as a believer.
P.S. that pillar of labour society, Bracks , is the Chair of the Board at CBUS perhaps Ethel could ask him for his views on the above next time he meets him in the office.

Repeatedly.

I saw the clip on the Paul Murray show. Apparently, every time the actor did his thing, someone told him to bugger off and leave the Muslim person alone. One woman got stuck right into him.

The actor looked Indian (Pakistani?) to me. I wonder if the result would have been different had he been a big ugly Anglo skinhead?

Murray said the video has gone viral worldwide, but I took a look on YouTube and none of the clues I typed in brought it up. Apparently, the Macquarie Uni Muslim Students Association were quite surprised at the result of their experiment.

Went to see the Aztec exhibition currently showing at the Museum in Sydney over the weekend. It told how the Aztecs moved south and took up residence on an island in present day Mexico City, paid taxes to the locals, but after 100 years, grew strong enough to overwhelm the locals and enslave them.

Hmmmm, thought I, that sounds like an awfully familiar and also rather contemporary script. Except for the bit about paying taxes to the locals before they overcame them.

Tough Tony

This'll be interesting.

Tony Abbott vows to 'shirtfront' Vladimir Putin over MH17 tragedy

I bet he doesn't do anything.

As TA was a thugby player, I'd be amazed if he knew what a shirtfront was. I wonder if Derm has been mentoring him?

I would anticipate Putin's reaction to be " he is going to do what to me, what a [email protected] wit".
Maybe he could get Putin's wife up against the wall and do his usual wall thump as well.

Imagine the poor bastard in at the Russian embassy in Canberra who has to translate that comment, explain it - and then encode it it!

It occurred to me that maybe the tech. spooks at DIA might have asked TA to come up with such a ridiculous comment to give them a chance of cracking the Russian codes. (You'd hope there was some such explanation - for anything else is a bit of a worry. It is NOT a comment worthy of a shire councilor at outer bloody Woop Woop, let alone a Prime Minister.)

I'm wondering if its all just a ploy to get Putin to not come with out the diplomatic issues of banning him and all the G20 side effects to go with it.

One commentator this morning was saying he could pull a sicky if the protest get to large to avoid embarrassment.

An interesting article showing what's coming soon to a suburb near you.

Muslim integration in Great Britain ? News

Muslim Integration

In Edmonton, north London, a 25-year-old convert to Islam beheaded an 82-year-old woman named Palmira Silva in broad daylight. Witnesses said they saw the man, who was wielding a foot-long machete, behead two cats before decapitating Silva. Police said they believed the man was inspired by video footage of terrorists beheading Westerners in Syria.

In East Sussex, an Egyptian immigrant shot and killed his seven-year-old daughter and then killed himself after his estranged wife rejected Islam. The couple married in Liverpool in 2005 after the wife, who was Roman Catholic, converted to Islam. But she later rejected the faith, which led to a divorce and a bitter custody dispute over the children.

In central England, a British couple was thrown off a bus and branded racists after a Muslim passenger objected to a nursery rhyme they were singing to their autistic daughter. Nick Barnfield and Sarah Cleaves were travelling with their daughter Heidi on a bus from Sheffield to Doncaster when the 15-month-old began crying.

After the couple started singing the theme song for Peppa Pig, a popular British preschool animated television series, a Muslim woman clad in a hijab became irate, because pork is forbidden in Islam. The bus driver called police and ordered the couple to get off the bus.

In Bradford, three children from a Muslim family were sent to school with “Halal Only” signs stuck to their chests (pictures here) after they were served food that did not comply with Sharia law. Talib Hussain said that his children, who attend the Woodside Academy, were served non-halal food on several occasions and would have to wear the signs from now on.

In Daubhill, a teacher at the Sunning Hill Primary School was suspended after she allegedly made a comment about a Muslim student’s headscarf. A girl at the school was fidgeting with her headscarf and the teacher involved was heard to say: “If she was in my class I would chuck the scarf in the bin.” The incident was reported to the police and the teacher was suspended pending an investigation.

Also in Bradford, a 20-year-old student named Rabia Qureshi complained to supermarket giant ASDA after she found a pork sausage roll in a packet of vegetarian pastries. Qureshi said she cannot eat the meat on religious grounds.

After carrying out detailed investigation, ASDA cast doubt on the veracity of Qureshi’s claim. The company said only cheese and onion rolls had been processed on that particular production run, and on the one previous to that, and there had been no other complaints.

In Leicester, a local KFC fast food restaurant is refusing to provide its customers with hand cleaning wipes because they are soaked in alcohol and might offend Muslim restaurant-goers. A KFC spokesman said the company complies with Islamic Sharia law in “areas where there has been demand from our customers,” and advised non-Muslims seeking non-halal options to dine somewhere else.

In South Yorkshire, police were criticized for not acting quickly enough to remove comments on an official Facebook page that blamed Muslims for the Rotherham child sex abuse scandal. The comments were left in response to so-called Jay Report, which found that at least 1,400 children were abused by gangs of men predominantly of Pakistani origin in Rotherham over a 16-year period, between 1997 and 2013.

An angry citizen wrote: “Gangs raping children get let off and ignored, people making comments about it get chased down and treated more severely than the rapists.”

In nearby Sheffield, a former care-home worker told the BBC that sexual exploitation of teenage girls by Muslim men was “endemic” in the city during the early 2000s. She said that girls as young as 13 years old were passed around organized groups of Muslims and trafficked to other cities. She said her colleagues were powerless to stop the crimes. Since the BBC report, South Yorkshire Police have confirmed that there are 173 live investigations into child exploitation in Sheffield.

In Greater Manchester, a Muslim man who had sexual intercourse with two underage girls was sentenced to six-and-a-half years in prison. During his trial, the court heard how 25-year-old Sulman Dar of Bolton plied the 15-year-old girls with cigarettes and alcohol before taking advantage of them.
In Bradford, a 62-year-old Muslim taxi driver named Mohammed Rashid, who was caught on camera sexually abusing an 81-year-old dementia sufferer in her own home, was jailed for 15 months on September 29. Also in Bradford, Mohammed Imran was charged with two counts of conspiring to rape a girl under 16 years of age and one count of arranging/facilitating the prostitution/involvement in pornography of a 13-year-old child.

In Peterborough, 30-year-old Mohammed Abbas was sentenced to 12 years in prison for having sex with a 12-year-old girl. In Sheffield, five Muslims went on trial for allegedly trafficking a 13-year-old girl for sex. In Bucks, eight Muslim men between the ages of 28 and 45 were charged with sexually abusing girls under the age of 16. One of the men has been charged with three counts of raping a girl under the age of 13.

In Guisborough, hundreds of parents were warned about a suspected abduction attempt of an 11-year-old girl by a group of “Asian” men. In Bury, police said that a 32-year-old taxi driver named Atif Ratiq was being investigated in connection with a report of kidnapping with intent to commit a sexual offense. In Walsall, police said they were looking for a Muslim male who sexually assaulted a 24-year-old woman on a bus.

In Dundee, the fourth-largest city in Scotland, a 33-year-old taxi driver named Mohammed Anwar was found guilty of two sex attacks on male passengers. Anwar is married and has five children.

Meanwhile, British media reported that as many as a dozen independent Muslim schools in the East London borough of Tower Hamlets are being investigated by the Department of Education amid fears that Islamic extremists have taken over the schools. These are the ‘moderate’ Muslims.
The latest investigations are similar to the so-called Trojan Horse scandal, in which secular schools in Birmingham were found to have been infiltrated by Muslim extremists. The difference is that the affected institutions in Tower Hamlets are Muslim schools.

Separately, Tower Hamlets Mayor Lutfur Rahman was accused of electoral fraud after he promised free government housing to Muslims who voted for him.
Which leads to a question: has anyone heard one word in the last month about the 1400 underage girls who were sexually exploited by Muslim men - and has anything been done about the local council officials, one of whom now works in a senior position in the Victorian Education Department here in Australia, being prosecuted, punished or demoted?
