What is going to be funny is that both Rudd and Gillard are going to
be trying to re write history.
It is going to be funny if BOTH release books in the next year or two !!!
Blame sexism when incompetence is the truth.

Get the message Juliar? You can't re-write history.
Twenty (or "twenny" in Juliaspeak) years from now, she'll be up there alongside Gough Whitlam in every school and university text book as a Labar Deity who wus done wrong by those dreadful misogynists.

....unless there's a successful prosecution for her shenanigans as an allegedly corrupt lawyer.

Schapelle Corby
I read that her parole is getting closer after winning crucial approval from the Justice Ministry office in Bali.A spokesman for the office on Wednesday confirmed the 36-year-old's parole application had been approved and would be immediately forwarded to Jakarta for further consideration.
"From the hearing yesterday, we have issued a recommendation which is approving Corby to receive her parole," Justice Ministry
office spokesman Made Badra said in Bali on Wednesday.

( Hope it's ok to post in here but I couldn't find a thread about her in the past using the search bit )

I don't even know why I bother to read this stuff. However, note to Tony. Can you please make your next job a complete clean out of the ALPBC from top to bottom ?
And advise those people who think 50000 country shoppers a 'trickle', and the cost just to process them at $200000 each, 'acceptable', that they may need to find alternative employment.

There is so much out there, Craig Thomson is a kiwi and married three times.
Peter Slipper was an Anglican priest for two years from 2008 and this year a member of the Palmer Party for seven hours !!

The supposedly extreme and crazy Larry Pickering calls it pretty well, imho:

So the unelected Howes is saying that the ALP people shouldn't be allowed a conscience vote on gay marriage but must follow the party line. Is he the new ALP leader then? Did I miss something?
I didn't know ALP people had a conscience, following the party line is all they can do, it's not like they have to think for themselves or represent their electorate or anything silly like that.
Howes seems to represent all that is wrong with the ALP.
For the record I couldn't give a hoot one way or the other about gay marriage.

One of the replies to that article from "ROGER"
"Strange concept of a lack of freedom of the press you have. The new decisions by the government don't preclude journalists from doing what they always used to do, before they got used to lazily and thoughtlessly parroting ALP press releases. That is, a bit of investigative journalism of their own. We've already heard that some Christmas Island inhabitants have indicated they are happy to provide daily updates. Problem is, it involves the Canberra press gallery getting off their bar stools and restaurant chairs, and engaging their own brains. In other words, earning their living, for a change. No gulags here, you're mistaking the Abbott government for the former ALP government - you know, the one that actually tried to legislate an attack on the freedom of the press only a few months ago!"

SOPS - I read a few of the responses under that article. All I can think is that too much listening to the endless partisan opinionating by Leftie luvvies on the ABC has blinded (most of) the posters to common sense and rationality. When will they wake up?

Because Pickering always has the Labor Party's interests at heart . There's a working theory that states; back whoever Pickering doesn't...

I dunno about that, Worrals. I'll have another look at Pickering's ranting, but I've never pegged him for an ALP fellow traveller. Could be wrong though...

Gillard opens up on carbon pricing, sexism | News.com.au
"...In just her second major public appearance since being dethroned .. Ms Gillard had to laugh when an 11-year-old girl asked her if she actually had any fun while serving as prime minister.
"I don't want the whole thing to sound Dickensian, like I was in some dark, satanic mill," she said. "I wasn't. I was living at The Lodge, ..."
Some dark satanic mill" Hmmm... Bleak House more like it...
Why the satanic reference. What goes on in that mind ?
I see a movie being made called Seeming There.
Unlike Being There with the main character being an angelic TV educated Chauncey Gardiner showing up the political class, in Seeming There the main character will be a TV fixated doofus straight from hell that has the ABC latte set fornicating with TV remote controls. The final act will see the giggling doofus walk off into the sunset across lake Burly Griffith while the ABC elite discuss making her their new boss...

Jees, what is it with the Greens ?
Are they trying to make themselves relevant ?
In the last 2 or 3 days on TV News or Front page newspaper,
Have seen Two dads, the leader Milne and Adam Bandt
all making 30 second quotes, mostly on AS after the last
two boats sank !!!

Lifted from the Peace and Love thread. Really worth both reading and forwarding to everyone on your mailing list, as it applies equally to Australia.

From the 7x7 link...
"...The shameful failure of Western feminism to support suffering sisters in Islamic societies is incomprehensible for its lack of moral fibre and convenient elevation of moral relativity as a key rationale...."
