Villas Bottas? Isn't he the Spurs Manager??

Di Resta is probably taking the morning off for a seat fitting at McLaren

I loved Schuey's face when quizzed about LH replacing him.. as if to say "That little oik couldn't lace my racing shoes"

Monza FP2 times.

Alonso gearbox 'failure' so he might have a grid penalty.

I'll be away over the weekend, so no 'service' folks . . .

Ferrari Assistance International seems to be at work again. No grid penalty for Alonso as it was not a racing gearbox replaced.
Here's a link. though in Dutch

Gearboxes have to last 5 races. That's the ones used in qualifying and the race itself. Teams often use old units (or engines) during setup to minimise wear on the race ones.

Ferrari often seem to have rules applied generously, but not in this instance.

Ferrari sent both cars out together so that Massa could slipstream Alonso then slipstream past him to set a fast time.
When it came for Massa to reciprocate things didn't quite work out as planned.

So was Alonso's car fixed during Q3? If the cars go into Parc fermé after practice I thought they weren't allowed to work on it?

Cars in parc ferme can be repaired with like-for-like - but no changes can be made.

I've just finished watching edited highlights of the race - as I was 'away' during Qualifying and the the race itself.

I found it difficult to follow exactly how the various people came from behind apart from those that dropped out . . .

I need to read a summary and possibly watch the highlights again.

Off to the BBC website . . .

So Lewis wins, and doesn't do anything naughty or controversial along the way, The Red Fiats get hopelessly out paced and out-smarted by Sauber, The Germans come nowhere and PPRuNe F1 thread is silenced.. speaks volumes!!

Never mind, maybe the usual hammy bashing will resume next week..

Maybe no one here watched it live?

I too found the edited highlights "bitty"

From what I saw I don't think Vettel deserved the drive through penalty but of course I dn't have telemetry available.

Interesting that a couple of cars had fuel problems over the weekend. Did anyone inspect the pitboxes for mysterious white powder?

Ia anybody feeling flush? The Jordan Schumy won his first F1 race in is up for grabs
