bad news for Ferrari and Red Bull, good news for McLaren.

As for Grosjean and Lotus Renault.

BBC Sport - Lewis Hamilton beats McLaren team-mate Jenson Button to pole

Kimi Raikkonen qualified 18th on his return to Formula 1 after two years in rallying.
The Finn made a mistake on one lap, and then failed to make it round to start another after a mix-up with the team.
Raikkonen, who has been faster than Grosjean in pre-season testing, was disappointed with the mistakes that led to his poor grid position.
"I slowed down because we were supposed to have time for one more lap and I guess we didn't," he said.
"Nobody told me when I slowed down that I had to hurry up. There's no point to blame anybody and everyone is as disappointed as me. It's a bad start."

F-1 is shown live & unencrypted on both Catalan and Spanish TV channels, and since one is informed that these are also available on the SES/Astra spacecraft (no idea what channels as I watch on TD TV) anyone unwilling to pay SKY for the privilege of watching F-1 might consider in investing in a second dish and receiver. Catalan and Spanish TV channels are usually dual language but I don't know if the F-1 satellite channels carry an English soundtrack, so you'll just have to put up with the commentator's cries of horror when Alonso goes off the track !

Very interesting Ofso, I had a german sat link-up but no commentary, just the car sounds and radio chat, quite a difference I must say...

During the BBC Radio Five Live Extra i-Player recorded coverage of the free practice sessions there was constant reference to the video, with (I thought) the assumption that listeners would be able to see the video - but that didn't happen during Qualifying.
Although I listened to the Qualifying session live via the BBC internet site, there was no option to see any video.

BBC2 TV is now showing highlights with Coulthard and Jake Humphrey.

I don't know whether they will have Eddie Jordan . . .

Thanks for the link

The coverage on BBC 2 could have been better. A number of references to occurences that weren't shown.

That would be because many of these "feeds" that appear on the interweb are kinda illegal and posting the link publicly on the forum could put the site in a sticky situation as far as the lawyers go.

Best to play it safe.
