rdr strikes again

Another mind blowing disjointed rambling from rdr.

rdr.......Resident dysfunctional racist.

Previous rants on Cricket thread, some of which may have been deleted by Mods.

It's not CA that should be told.

Well the relief is huge, England have avoided a cricketing defeat at the hands of the mighty Afghanistan, and avoided it handsomely.

If nothing else happens as a result of this woeful World Cup performance, please let us change the England bowling coach.

I see the resident Ozzie cockroach, Rule 3 is still around. Either post cricket, or go take a flying f at the moon.

Downton exit

I posted a comment on 9 March.

I have to say I didn't expect so sudden a departure but maybe for the best?

It seems entirely possible that Mr Graves desire to re-accomodate a certain KP might have also been a contributory factor in Paul Downton falling on his sword for the sake of English cricket.

KP has been an excellent cricketer in the past, but unless there is to be a complete change of personnel in the England ODI team I can't see how he can be anything other than a severely disruptive influence given his public outpourings in recent times. The fielder bullying bowling attack would have to go for a start or KP might start crying again.

Peter Moores must be wondering if he is ever going to have a fair crack in charge.

An interesting summer ahead..........

Rule 3 not sure why you attacked rdr this time, I didn't see much to cause offence in his last offering, hard to follow his line of thought but not offensive....this time.

Well played Ian Bell. Yet again when England are in trouble you have dug us out of a hole, ably supported by Joe Root and Ben Stokes.

Not such a good 2nd day for England as West Indies remembered how to bowl and finished off the England innings quickly. I think Phil Simmons is at last a coach who will make a difference to West Indies and hopefuly they will become a force again in cricket.

Englands bowling looks a tad toothless so day 3 might be interesting

And a very large round of applause please......although on second thoughts, it will probably be grudging and muted by several on here.....for the achievement of one Mr Anderson.

Imho, Jimmy Anderson is the best bowler England has produced in two decades. He's got some good old fashioned 'mongrel' in him, something sorely missing in his teammates in recent (and not so recent) times. He would have made a good Aussie.

p.s now he can please tear a hamstring before the Ashes tour, ty.

Anderson is serviceable but not a genuine matchwinner these days.

Broad is done and dusted.

England can't even beat the Callapso Kings these days

Well done Jimmy, now only 416 more wickets needed to catch Murali!

You mean another 322 to catch SK Warne. Chucking doesn't count..

This will be interesting to watch as it unfolds...

KP scores 300+ against a useless Leicester attack in Div 2 of the English County Championship. This is the Leicester team that hasn't won a single match for over 2 years.

There will now be a clamour for KP, avge 47.25, to replace one of Ian Bell, avge 44.57, Gary Ballance, avge 62.35, or Joe Root, avge 55.00, all of whom have been scoring runs for England at Test Level. I would feel considerably pi$$ed off if I was dropped so that a disruptive egotist can come back in.

Talented? Undoubtedly. Team player? The recent evidence suggests not.

I would rather stick with the younger men and let KP write more sour grapes about how unloved he is. I admit my attitude has changed since his book and then his pathetic claims of being bullied by the bowlers..............

He won't be coming back after tonight's meeting with Strauss

Personally I think it's criminally stupid to hogtie any selectorial options, but seeing as how that's the way it is nowadays, then I certainly wouldn't nail my colours to the mast of a 35 year old with attitude problems

KP is a short term solution at best. He's not 22 anymore..

p.s those Hitler videos never get old. Jonathon Trott I'm sure Mitchell Johnson would love to give hime some more mental health issues!

I am pleased that Pietersen will no longer play for England. I reckon that he only wanted to return to satisfy his ego and not for any loyalty to England. I was in Australia during the Big Bash and he was interviewed by Pontin. The interview consisted of him taking the Pi$$ out of England and promoting his book, he certainly wasn't intending to be a team player that day. When the team he was playing for in the Big Bash finished their games mention was made that he didn't even stop for a beer but was on the last plane out within an hour of the end of the match, so no team spirit there either..

Yes I thought about that when i wrote "no longer", but his present form (against serious opposition", his age, and the fact that we have some good young lads coming along mean he would have to do something pretty special to get back now. I think...
