It's OH?

I don't know where these were taken nor can I ask. Can you identify one or both?

v3m, any hint where they might have been taken, and if they are from the same location or from two independently different ones?

Probably two different locations, probably both Europe/Britain, probably part of museums or collections, or perhaps some grand location selling tickets to tourists.

Both look Medieval, and slightly more recent than the Bayeux Tapestry.

I assume a contemporary depiction or idolization of the Crusades, but which one?

First thing to come to mind was Musée National du Moyen Âge (Musée Cluny) in Paris, but no matching pictures, although some lions were close….

The tapestry is a bit odd, as it shows a dromedary, a leopard?, a lion, a staircase (?) with a blue robe/cloak/river slowing down the steps, and an Egyptian profile on the throne (?).

The Egyptian figure is the typical motionless side view, whereas the boys/men holding the animals are quite vibrant and colorful (tree-dimensional.)

As an aside, I came across this animated version of the Bayeux Tapestry.

It shows the Norman invasion represented by embroidery on " 0.5-by-68.38-metre (1.6 by 224.3 ft) long linen, ending with the Battle of Hastings.

The tapestry is annotated in Latin. It is exhibited at Musée de la Tapisserie de Bayeux in Bayeux, Normandy.

Jetsy, thanks! Been fun so far... And might jut have a challenge pic or three from Aus and NZ. Hope you're enjoying your Labor Day weekend!

lompaseo, I do love the islands, Hawaiian or otherwise. One of the things I enjoy about that area around eastern Waikiki is the park across the way. Great place to sit in the shade, smoke an Island Prince cigar (grown on Kauai), and people watch.

Okay! Onward I go toward beachfront property!

sabredog -- Thanks!

Since I only asked that one be identified, carry on.

However, if someone does recognize the other one...

Newton Highlands Jewish Community Center, Newton, MA, used to be Working Boys Home.

Edit: Oh, and you expected me to mention the Jewish numbers on the clock, right?
