Ladies and Gentlemen:

I have learned from a very reliable and serene source that SINGA's challenge is "ALPE ADRIA. Pictures taken on route between Tarviso-Tolmezzo, North-East Italy."

That's all I know, please don't shoot the messenger. More (hopefully) when SINGA comes back from his holidays, but in the meantime we can put the issue at rest.

Reg

Edit: Just couldn't resist commenting anyhow: Tarvisio and Tolmezzo are small towns in Friuli–Venezia Giulia region in Italy. Both are located along the A23 Alpe-Adria autostrada (European route E55) Alps - Adrian sea = White and Turquoise....

lomapaseo,
I thought your restaurant by the water front was a challenge..It sure reminded me of some wonderful times I had on the river walk in San Antonio, Tx.
Wel actually my restaurant pic was part of the answer to the previous pic.

The pic was of the beach side restaurant of the Hilton Hawiian Village hotel about in line where I thought the first pic might have been taken.

To me my favorite Hilton spot. My last stay was in one of the corner balcony rooms on like the 22nd floor. with ocean views. Of course all I watched were the takeoffs from the airport with my binocs and tried to guess the destinations. Years ago HNL use to be my stopping off point to the far east and the 8am Pan Am flight to SFO (memories)

That is certainly it. Giggling its image shows a huge stone behind it. I assumed the photo was taken from the air, but it's probably from the stone.

A photo of the interior shows nice stone work.

Giggling "marble patterns church floor" shows designs that might be more than a weekend project.

[email protected], I thought the un-Scottish architecture would present a bit more of a challenge!

Spot on. One of my favourite photos.

Spot on, Sabredog, just out the back from where Ho Chi Minh lies embalmed. Thet don't call it a Mausoleum, the inscription reads 'President Ho Chi Minh'.

Evidently they need money for restoration, every time it rains they have to put coolie hats on the statues!
