It's nowhere in Godzone that I am familiar with. Looks like they are driving on the right, and the sign in the mirror is not one used in NZ. I reckon the castle-ish building is perhaps Bavarian

@sabredog,
No it is not A 40.
The road has simple name and I think that it is well known.

I was thinking maybe in Slovenian Alps but the "Danube" clue threw me off.
There is a nice "A" road there called Ilirika but I do not see the connection between this road and Sirikit (clue?) either.
More clues please, SINGA

Ho hum.

So: What did Jetsy do about three months ago, to make SINGAPUR to start planning a revenge or a challenge? Jetsy posted many from Norway, where there are mountains (not really Alps) and a lot of rain. And the buildings are not Norwegian, so go south young man, go south.

Rain, more white than turquoise, and the river not full of water…. Where would the water go? Ach ja: There are alps in Slovenia, and a lot of chalkstone, and the rivers tend to run under earth surface. Was once in a big cave in Slovenia, olms (Proteus) and all, could be in Slovenia.

No idea which road though, swinging over there….. Karawanke?

Edit: Hi Jetsy, how are you doing?

Edit 2: Danube has a couple of tributaries that run from south. like Drawa and Sawa, the ones we discussed some time ago together with Slovenian - Macedonian wine. In the meantime (in fact, today) I have talked to someone who has done wine harvesting in Slovenia, so at least there is wine produced in Slovenia, SINGAPUR, say what you may.

Edit 3: Gotta go now. Well past midnight over here. Talk to you later.

Hey there RegDep,

Heh, I think SINGAPURCANAC acted singlehanded on this one.

All good here. Thank you for asking. (Had big project needing completion so did not log in for a time). I'm back now just when you have to retire..

As far as the challenge. There is also Salzburg area.. I found some road names that might describe our dramatic poster here but I doubt SINGA would go that route. Also, the salt mines in the area could give the waters there the colour in the clue.
If the road/motorway is well known, I am not finding it/making connections to all the clues given. Oh well.

Intresting,interesting....

I will be very precise with clues. No other clues except this list:

-Alps (not Maritime)
- Precipitation ,a lot of,
- Road and highway swings around river and the name is well known, even has wider political content I think. When I was a boy( early 80s) there was regional cooperation project with the same name.....
-It is not Slovenia
-It is not Danube connection at all.
-And relation between turquoise( river) and white (river bank) is crucially. Direct answer to this question leads to right area. The name of highway is than peace of cake.

I am going on holiday in the afternoon ,so if no answer, Sikirit will receive PM.

OK, let's eat the elephant in small pieces, it may be too big to be eaten/solved in one piece:

Rain: The most precipitation in the world falls in Mawsynram, India, Eastern Himalayas ('Alps'?). The most in Europe in Crkvice, Montenegro.

Which is closer SINGAPURCANAC?

Or, if S is adamant that there are no more clues, another tack:

Giggling turquoise and white brings me Greek flag, so "relation" might be something about the two Macedonias, and a "regional project" might be an euphemism. "A" could then relate to Alexander the Great.

Hmmmm…. Is there a name of the E-75 road that swings a lot around a river there? It starts from Vardoe on the Ice Sea and leading to Chania, Crete in the Mediterranean (yes, by ferry from mainland Greece). Well, that was a special project in Macedonia (State of) and the whole route is called Pan-European Corridor.

No Macedonia, Crkvice is closer than Himalayas, not E 75.

I can't believe,that it is so complicated.

I have had many encounters with this chap over the years, he is a bit of a problem. Knocked a tree over right across a tent last year. It went straight across the bed where two guests had been lying just an hour previous.

Anyway a photo to brighten up the page. I have no idea at all about this challenge.

Me neither. But you must confess that my deduction was cool , mustn't you?

So tell me where I was most wrong .

Sikirit has it. It was challenge specially designed for her so it is her right to know first.

WHAT!

She is on her beauty nap, which has lasted three days and nights by now. Either she does it for the next 100 years, or wakes up yet again so stunning that the thread will be in disarray for a week.

WE are the people! WE want to know!

Three and a half days. This thread was fun for a while. Eventually people lose interest and it goes into dead thread land. Pretty much the only reason I posted was to get it back to page 1.

Anyway, let's quit screwing around and get this thing moving.

Sikirit has it. It was challenge specially designed for her so it is her right to know first.
Does Sirikit have it or not? Can't tell because she hasn't posted for a few days so how one comes to that conclusion is a little odd.

If so, then she calls Open House or she forfeits. Let's get on with it folks.

11Fan, at al

Since the last challenge was "designed" for Sirikit and SINGA emailed the answer to her, we may as well get on with it as you suggest. Last I heard she decided not to visit here anymore.

Want to get things going again and introduce a new challenge?
