Who on Earth is the chap with 11 Fan.
Thread Baron

He's now in Branson.

Wonderful Man. Had the pleasure of speaking with him after the show. He came from Russia and is now an American Citizen.

We're naturally born Americans only as grateful as he is to live here.

Oh, that's one of our summer homes. It's a bit drafty in winter.

Oii, Connie... You wish.. you'd finally have the place to entertain all the frends and family at once and have individual rooms for each one. This place is "sort" of a hotel/hostel these days. Big couryard for annual parties as well. Plenty of cooking area.

Yes, it is a castle.

For some reson the first piccy did not rotate as intended. I'll try to fix it

Jetsy,

Wow, talk about timing. I've been working on this for an hour and you just logged off. I was thinking a castle in Bavaria. I was trying to find it based on this insignia but totally struck out.

Oh well. That's it for me.

Jetsy, am I confused or you? These (at least some of them) have been posted here before. I have still the lowest one on my desktop (can see the icon right now), because I was frustrated not finding it.

Checked, the file name is the same .

Edit: Had placed it on the desktop on 31 July 2011. Lemmecheck……

Edit 2:Checked further. Yes, No. 2 and 4 were there, and the challenge was left unanswered during the commotion about an airfield….

Interesting.

Reg

Edit 3: PS: Still don't know where it is

Jetsy, I was looking at the Castle of Elsinore and if you stripped all the filigree out of that, it would resemble yours. So my first stab is northern continental Europe, somewhere north of the Amsterdam - Krakow line.

Edit: On a second thought (now that PPRuNe is up again), Jetsy, I hear you had a nice car trip to Italy via Bratislava. Tell me about it. Where did you start and which route you took?

RegDep,

Yes, I posted the same pictures before and as you noticed, they went unanswered. I thought we might try them again.

The city/town where this castle is, is in in Europe. I think it might be too obscure so for a clue..Poland, but not in Krakow. Along the way from Wroclaw to Warsaw via major highway. There is almost an identical photo on the web.

As far as the car trip, it pretty much covered: Bratislava, Piestany (and their hot springs), Vienna, Salzburg, Insbruck, Gratz, Padova, Verona, Venice and back to Bratislava via Germany. Then train to Poland (Wroclaw) and to the city where the latest challenge is from. 3 weeks of fun and spectacular views.

Done the trip (Wroclaw to Warsaw, via Lodz) in the mid 70s, in a taxi, plus covered Krakow, Gdansk, Sopot, and some other town too, but do not remember any major highways . Was not accommodated in a castle, either.

Not Ottawa StressFree.

Edit to add that you and lomapasseo have now gotten the animal and continent pinned, so why not drill in a bit more…..
