Not entirely. Simply don't vote for those candidates who might help in destroying this country, no?

Sorry RG, missed this post of yours.

I don't think there's more of a conservative party than the constitution party. But I'm sure you're well aware of that now!
I am looking into the Constitution Party, I'd not heard of it until you posted about it. The major problem about the Constitution Party, is the same with all conservative third parties, hurting the Republican Party in general elections.

To make a real difference it needs to start on the local/state levels before any attempt is made to effect a Presidential election. Such as H. Ross Perot did in the Bush/Clinton election taking just enough conservative votes to allow Clinton to win.

But I do like what I see so far about the Constitution Party, there is a local branch of the Constitution Party in Oklahoma City and I plan on contacting them in the near future and see what they have to say.

SRT:

The United States was founded as a representative Republic. Therefore, there is no such a thing as a coalition government these shores.

Pity. If push came to shove it might be worthwhile the Constitution party and the Republicans ganging up against the Dems if their constituents would go for that.

As far as the Constitution Party is concerned I invite all Americans, or any other interested parties, to give a listen to "The Castle Report" hosted by Darrell Castle.
Mr. Castle was the runner-up for the 2012 Presidential nominee for the Constitution Party and was also the vice-presidential nominee in 2008 for the same. He was also a former National Vice-Chairman of the CP.

Mr. Castle has a lot to say and he says it well and with conviction. He's a "straight shooter" and well worth at least a listen.

President Barack Obama told his enthusiastic supporters Monday night that he never promised what video recordings show him promising at least 29 times.
The videos show Obama promising 300 million Americans that “if you like your health-care plan, you will be able to keep your health-care plan, period.”
But that’s not what he really said, Obama announced Monday in a speech to about 200 Organizing for Action supporters, gathered at the St. Regis hotel in D.C.
“What we said was you could keep it if it hasn’t changed since the law was passed,” he told Obamacare’s political beneficiaries and contractors.
That claim is not supported by his videotaped statements, which don’t include any mention of his new “if it hasn’t changed” exception.

Maybe rgbrock1 can explain how a third-party Libertarian (or Constitutional) candidate that siphons votes from the Republican candidate, resulting in the election of a Democratic candidate, helps advance the Libertarian cause. Perhaps he can use today's Virginia results as a starting point.

Shall we find the GOP National Leadership did not help Cucinelli as they should have because he was a Tea Party Favorite?

What if we find some sort of "deal" was made by the Democrats to support the Libertarian? Keep an eye on the fellow's future employment in the Virginia State Government!

How is that an unintended consequence?

The GOP did not lift a finger to support Cucinelli because he was picked by the Republican base and not the GOP hierarchy.
