I have one question..WHAT are you guys gonna do IF Obama wins
There will be the usual accusations of voter fraud, it was all down to Sandy, it was all about race etc etc

Then when the dust settles, the usual suspects will resume their modus operandi on here with 4 more years of bitching and spewing bile

Can't wait

What bile?

This is tame compared to the UK threads, where people write about the glory of an independent Scotland and wish for the slow, painful deaths of ex-Prime Ministers.

All we want is for our costly European experiment to end, and a return to smaller government and economic growth. Sure Obama is beloved by comrades Vlad, Hugo, Fidel and Grifo, but that doesn't mean he is the best choice for the US.

You could always bugger off... Then you won't be bothered by the "bile" and "bitching" but you won't will you, because it's exactly what trolls like yourself like.

You will however notice that the only people threatening anything over the results of the election are those who claim they will riot if Obama loses. Why don't we hear similar threats from conservatives if he wins? Oh, that's right... The conservatives are blessed with brains.

Only read a few articles over the weekend so not a large number
but it just seems to me the mood seems to have swung towards Obama.

The media over here in Aus has come out and said Obama is likely to win
based on the numbers.

I will say one thing re Obama - he certainly has the 30 second sound bite
down pat of what people WANT TO HEAR - ie the quote re Red tape and the Govenors can call me at the White House !!!

El Grifo

The numbers I was referring to were the US Poll numbers.

We don't take polls of our citizens re US elections
and to be honest, I don't know why Europe does
as it has no bearing on the election.

Also, were the Euro polls taken in
"Old Europe" or "New Europe" ?

And in related news, sun sets in the West.

Of course a bunch of socialists would prefer USA to continue on the path to socialism. Remember socialists are not happy until everybody is equally miserable, poor, and dependant on the state.

Well maybe...

Canada Beefing Up Border Patrol In Event Romney Wins Presidential Election

CANADA (The Ottawa Press Global Edition) - Governor Romney's victories in the debates with President Obama has had a surprising impact on American liberals. Canadian Border Services have given out a series of warnings about "a flood of American liberals seen sneaking across the border into Canada". This has sparked calls for increased vigilance to stop the illegal immigration.

Media outlets in the U.S. report that the possibility of a Romney Presidency has prompted an exodus of left-leaning citizens who fear they'll soon be required to "hold down a job, hunt, pray, and agree with Bill O'Reilly." Canadian border farmers noted that dozens of sociology professors, animal rights activists and Unitarians have been crossing their fields each night.

"I went out to milk the cows yesterday, and there was a Hollywood producer huddled in the barn," said Manitoba farmer Red Nesterenko, whose acreage borders North Dakota. The producer was cold, exhausted and hungry. "He asked me if I could spare a latte, some free-range chicken and a little arugula on the side. When I gave him some fresh warm goat milk he tossed his cookies and left. Didn't even get a chance to show him my screenplay, eh?"

In an effort to stop the illegal aliens, Nesterenko had already erected higher fences; these failed to stop the resourceful liberals, however, who dug under them. Mr. Nesterenko also tried installing speakers that blast Rush Limbaugh across the fields. "Not real effective," he said. "The liberals still got through but many were crying as they ran across my corn fields."

Officials said they are particularly concerned about smugglers who meet liberals near the Canadian border, pack them into Volvo station wagons, drive them across the border and leave them to fend for themselves. "A lot of these people are not prepared for rugged conditions," an Ontario border patrolman said. "I found one carload without a drop of bottled water and all wearing sandals. They did have a nice little 'Napa Valley cabernet', though," he added.

It has been reported that the few liberals who got caught were sent back across the border, often wailing loudly that they fear retribution from conservatives. Rumors have been circulating that a Republican Majority will establish re-education camps in which liberals will be forced to shoot feral hogs from airplanes, embrace creationism, and listen to Sarah Palin audio books.

U.S. border officials agree with their Canadian counterparts that many liberals have come up with ingenious ways of crossing the border. The Ottawa Press Global Edition has sources inside the Canadian Border Patrol and the RCMP that have verified the existence of a scheme that some illegals have adopted, where they pose as senior citizens on bus trips to purportedly buy cheap Canadian prescription drugs. Once in Canada, they attempt to scatter to the bigger cities and seek some form of low stress, high paying work that doesn't require interaction with the public or any form of performance assessment. According to well-informed sources, however, "liberals need so much job training to hold real jobs that it is cheaper to just put them in a motel and provide room service."

After catching a half-dozen young vegans disguised in powdered wigs and using walkers, Canadian immigration authorities began stopping buses and interrogating the supposed senior-citizen passengers. Typically, they were individually quizzed about Red Skelton comedy characters and Rosemary Clooney's greatest hits; these questions are used to prove whether or not the individual under questioning was in fact alive in the 1950's. "If they can't identify the accordion player on The Lawrence Welk Show, we get
suspicious" an official said.

Canadian citizens have reportedly complained that these illegal immigrants are "creating an organic-broccoli shortage and renting all the good Susan Sarandon movies". "I feel sorry for American liberals, but the Canadian economy just can't support them," an Ottawa resident said. "How many lawyers, art-history and English majors does one country need?" she added.

El Grifo ! Como estas ? Hope you're well buddy They won't like you saying that fella. Obama's popularity outside the USA is not relevant to their plight

AA, you still not put me on ignore ? Sad indictment of your argument when you choose to label someone a troll for having an opinion that opposes your own

Pigboat.....Dollars to Doughnuts....but I be CHUKS is smack dab in the middle of the Underground Railroad Redux! He is probably singing something about "following the drinking gourd" and hauling a dozen Liberals at a time in the back of his gas guzzling Japanese Land Wagon. Perhaps we should make inquiries on Potash Hill about overt signs of his new found wealth.

So much is being made of the Real Clear Poltics polling data summary.

In North Carolina....which is still a "Toss Up" state at RCP....the Republican candidate for Governor is leading the current LT. Governor by something like 15 points, the Republican Candidate for LTGov is leading his opponent by 5-6 Points, the Republicans are MOTIVATED and the Democrats are busy trying to steal votes and whining to anyone who will listen.

In plain language....North Carolina shall go to Romney by a big margin and is no way a "Toss Up" state.

When you add in PA, WI, MI, OH, VA, FL, CO, NH.....all either tied or a slight edge to Romney....and knowing that the Democrat model is using a 2008 Turn Out Model....which just ain't gonna happen this year....I will go to sleep Tuesday night comforted Obama will be soundly beaten by Romney.

If Obama wins....If I could....I would pull up stakes and depart. Sadly, if he does....the US Dollar will not be worth squat in the Currency Exchange Market.

Thus, it would appear it will be a matter of hanging in there and pray there is something left of the Country four years from now. One thing for sure....the Democrats will not be able to wind in 2016....as after eight years of Obama we all will be fed up with his policies....including the brain dead that vote for him again this time.

But.....my money is still on Romney with over 300 Electoral College Votes.

Pigboat, good one. I see them all the time around me on the U of T campus. The dead giveaway is a newly stitched Canadian flag on the backpack.

Yours: ...."I will say one thing re Obama - he certainly has the 30 second sound bite down pat of what people WANT TO HEAR - ie the quote re Red tape and the Govenors can call me at the White House !!!".....

Think for two seconds what that says.....

"I will temporarily suspend the government's obstacles to solving problems"

May we have a bit more of that, Mr. Obstacle?"

In 1987, my last year as a Liberal, I purchased a blue Land Cruiser. In 1988, i was a mature Conservative, and I kept the Toyota.

It is made almost entirely of parts designed by General Motors. From engine to axle bearings. Wish I had it back.

I think the chattering class has been so busy strokin each others bits, they have lost the plot entirely.

Romney wins, and BIG.... Senate to the Republicans, and a Supreme Court on a new and welcome course back to intent, not expedience....

take it to the bank of your choice....
