The difference between the two syndromes is one seems to have a half-life of at least six years so far and likely to continue.

The other one ends in January, 2016 with a known cure.

Yes, but let us all hope and pray that the cure doesn't turn into another disease i.e., the Hillary Monster.

Indeed.

But the so-called "Obama Derangement Syndrome" will be cured come what may.

I hope Hillary gets elected in 2016 as it is time America had a female head of state. Will Sarah be standing?

I doubt it, if only because Americans are probably sick of the current failed political experiment.

That's it? Because she's a woman?

No comments on her record of accomplishments and/or achievements during her professional life?

Just because of the plumbing?

We got one President simply because he wasn't George W. Bush and had dark skin. How's that working for the world, never mind for the U.S.

Modern liberalism is thus encapsulated.

Not deeds, but gender or race is what matters.

Well, they could rename the Oval Office the Ovary Office...

From a previously posted article:

The support I would give Hillary is as a woman. I’m one of those women who in so many aspects of my professional and personal life I’ve been out there making strides for women and allowing them to go down roads in which they were not welcome….I would love to see a woman president.

Where have we heard that sort of sentiment before? Oh, right—“I would love to see a black president.” And instead of the post-racial utopia we were promised, we’ve now seen six years of ceaseless and escalating white-bashing. And unlike the puny 13% of the electorate that blacks comprise, women make up around half of all voters. And as many men realize but are perhaps too gelded to admit in public, many if not most women have an axe—or, more precisely, an axe wound—to grind with men.

Since 2008, Democratic shysters have deflected the merest criticism of Obama with the word “racism,” a dumb and meaningless term that still somehow has the capacity to cripple nearly anyone at whom it is flung. Should Hillary Clinton ascend to the presidency, you can bet your last testicle that no matter how extreme her policies, anyone who dares question them will be shouted down as a misogynist. She could call for the ritual televised castration of all male infants, yet anyone who made a peep about it will be smeared as a woman-hater.

Those darn coincidences...

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The IRS says it has lost emails from five more workers who are part of congressional investigations into the treatment of conservative groups that applied for tax exempt status.

Toronto mayoralty race has Olivia Chow running (currently in 3rd place, behind Rob Ford). She is a widow of recently deceased leader of the Federal NDP, a communist party, more or less. When asked what makes her different from a previous mayor, David Miller (another communist), she replied "I am not a white male".

Yo, baby, go!!

If only it were so. But I regret to inform one and all that the next president won't be inaugurated until January, 2017. Sometimes I wish I could just sleep until then and awaken refreshed and anxious to face a new and hopeful day!

But being the realist (or cynic) that I am, I instead submit the following:

With the upcoming mid-term election I think we might all benefit from an "opposition party" controlled congress until a new president takes office. Not that they have any answers either, but at least it might have the effect of limiting any further damage somewhat. A gridlocked government who can get nothing done appears to be safer than the one we have now. That's as close as we'll likely come to "hope and change" anytime soon!

Is this an official policy of the party of the Right?

All else being equal, some lack of monopoly in the House/Senate/White House prevents "steamrollering" of legislation. Particularly of the budgetary kind.

And that, dear public, tends to be a good thing for the nation's economy, not to mention your own!

If it isn't it should be. Better to do nothing and block attempts to spend money we don't have, on feel good, socialist, schemes.

Right now the role of the Republican House is to do what it can to limit the damage of this disaster of an administration while positioning itself in the hope voters ultimately come to their senses.

Ironically, the groups most hurt by Democrat power since 2006 have been the poor, minorities, and youthful voters who were the Democrats' strongest supporters.

They failed to think through what they were doing to themselves. Now they almost certainly won't have the America I was given to look forward to, but austerity, crushing debt, and reduced circumstance. Pity.

Says one taxpayer...I'm quite comfortable with giving Israel aid. Thankfully both parties seem to recognize the importance of supporting Israel.

Giving money to Israel, to protect itself, is far from "feel good scheme". It has real, hard, benefits plus it is morally right.

Yup and damn proud of it.

You progressive, so-called liberal Democrats are going to wake up one day and say, "What happened to the Jewish vote, why are they voting Republican now?????".

Just keep it up.

And in the process making one of the most (dare I say it) progressive, modern societies in the middle east. With greater integration amongst all its citizens and rights across cultures than anywhere else.

A thriving developing industry, hell has there actually been money spent by foreign governments to another country that has been put to better use?

With continued look at government waste and where the F#$% did all those billions go, and what did we get for it, Surely Israel would have to be a shining light?
