Well I'll bet a beer that Brain Williams will not mention this;

In fact, the very basis on which the justices decided the case that the Senate can use extremely brief sessions to avoid a formal recess was a tactic devised by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada to frustrate Bush.

But then again, Brian Williams just may call in sick.

If he does, it would be a legitimate call. His hero going down in flames would make him sick.

Thumbs down

But he still enjoys a 30+% approval rating, if you correct for the monolithic Black vote.

Can anyone point to one successful program or initiative achieved by this administration? Is the US interest in better shape? Are the poor doing better? Has the public's access to health care improved? Have the promised green jobs saved the economy? Is anywhere in the world better or safer? Anything?

Nobel Peace Prize!!

At least we know now how many uninformed idiots we have in the country.

Unfortunately American politics seem to have degenerated to the stage where each of the major political parties devotes all its resources to preventing the other from achieving anything.

John, maybe a good one-party system would be much better?

That's right, John Hill. A two party system in equilibrium will get nothing done.

Only when events and challenges present themselves, as they did in WWII, will the partisan gridlock give way to the public consensus.

Today we seem to have a rough 50-50 split between big government advocates and libertarian individualists.

The interesting thing is that when one side rules for a while, the other side gains strength, then they rule for a while. The system has worked for a couple of centuries, but there is some concern that it's fraying.

Members of a two party system can compete by striving to out perform their opposition or by trying to frustrate their opposition at every turn.

I see how NBC Nightly News, with that unbiased Brian Williams, handled this massive Supreme Court defeat of President Obama.

They really didn't, just as a follow up story on the Supreme Courts decision about protest at abortion clinics, a Freedom of Speech issue, which was a much lesser story.

Another war?

Santa Ana may have been victorious, but that was almost 200 years ago. I'd be careful, today.

This looks like fun!
24th June: Bill S. 2517 A bill to prohibit bonuses to senior-level IRS executives until all Congressional requests for documents, including electronic communications, related to the investigation of IRS targeting of taxpayers are complete.

Wonder if those emails which disappeared off at least 6 separate computers "due to crashes" will turn up now?

I've come up with a solution for all the illegals pouring over the border.

They should all be sent to the self-declared 'sanctuary cities' around the nation.

Well Ben There the poor are dong better because of welfare mans ways.
Ever stand in line at Wal Mart, see how food is paid form EBT, Snap etc.
The amount they receive is more than enough reason to stay on welfare. They would have much less income if they worked like us or the normal worker.
Middle class will be a thing of the past soon.
Yes I did enjoy when welfare man got his face slapped about the appointees along with the cell phone search needing a warrant.
Hope we see more of this soon.
He should have been bitch slapped long before this.

Police were looking through cell phones, I presume during an arrest not just contact with people. Now they need a warrant to do so.

As a wanna be libertarian, I support the SCOTUS decision.

Pelosi on the Border: We Have to Use This 'Crisis' as an 'Opportunity'

Does anyone know if, or when, she is coming to the Peace Bridge* to do the same or will I have to continue to answer 20 questions when going to do a bit of shopping in Buffalo.

Canada/US border crossing.

Saturday at a press conference from the Rio Grande Valley, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) discussed her tour of a border holding facility and addressed the humanitarian crisis of thousands unaccompanied minors flooding across the U.S.-Mexico border, which she called a "humanitarian opportunity
No, more like an opportunity to have more Democratic Party voters. The only crisis she is worried about is Obama's and the Democratic Party's plummeting popularity in the polls.
