Lovely, lovely pics of Ark Royal.

One has just been pondering the trickiness of doing an early morning radio slot when there is Nothing To Say. Have gone to the lengths of emailing the business journo with a list of things one would spend time Not Saying. Prolly not worth getting up early tomorrow to hear it Not Being Said, folks! You can always go back to iPlayer at a civilised hour to see if I managed to work in the word Ark.

No Carriers or Harriers anymore

Water that rough then TBird ?
Superb photos. The weather seems to parallel what we've become as a nation. Grey, miserable and wet.

Morning all. First cup of tea of the day doing its bit. Poached eggs on toast is looking favourite to follow.

A very Happy Wedding Anniversary to French King Louis XIII and Ann of Austria. They were both 14 years old. This day 1615.

A French duck farmer has been given a one-month suspended sentence and fined 500 euros (428) after feeding cannabis to his birds saying it was an excellent dewormer.
I thought the whole idea was to get worms into ducks to fatten 'em up.

Think I saw a pair of beavers in my neighbor's yard. The ran up the bank and into the canal. No bubbles, not a ripple. Seen twice now, but not sure what they are.

Well, not sure the use of the word "Ark" made much sense in the context, but I got it in!

Now for the traditional and much needed vast pot of tea.

I'm with Stockie on this one. Big pot of tea needed.

Just had a look at the Stalyvegas weather. It's -3C. Poor old Ibby. That's going to come as a shock.

More tea vicar ?

Back from Docs. Sugars have dropped a bit. Had a long talk about possible causes. it looks like a med. (Amaryl) somehow got knocked off the list but the probable cause is too much fruit juice. Have to go back next week

Had a ridiculous offer on the house in Hawkinge because "there's too much work needs doing" FFS the house is 7 years old, was repainted two years ago, and is normally only used 2-3 days per month (i.e. it's been occupied for 8 months in total) The only points that need addressing are the leaves in the back garden need sweeping up and the front fence could do with a wash where mud has spattered up on it. 15 for the gardener.

No such luck here. It's a bit nippy for nude sunbathing.

So sad about the Ark... But well done Stockie for getting the word in!

Deeeeeeep breaths Nigel - hopefully you'll get it sorted soon
.

Nothing of much here that I can report.....

Good morning all. Cold and frosty here.
Not stopped since 0715 with calls from Scandie land. Still think its sorted now.

Hope the footie tonight is not as boring as last night. Saying that, some of those FIFA refs and so called assistants should be hung from the yard arm.

Brrrr very cold here, but oh so pretty.

Talking about beavers, we (i. me, Leo and his little friend from school and her Mum) went to the park after school last week. There was a well chewed stick lying nearby and both kids came legging it over shouting about how there had obviously been beavers in the park.

Idiocy on a Grand Scale!

Had a whole houseful of central heating replaced last week, including a new "Condensing Boiler". Great bunch of chaps did a superb job, 14 radiators all replaced and all pipework as well.

#2 son comes to wash his rugby kit and mine as well, "Mum, the washing machine's gone LBU, won't work!" JF scratches head, looks at it and says, "Yup!"

Call repair people, "85 call out + parts or 14 a month for a year, all parts and labour and if it goes LBU again, we'll replace it" "Right, I'll go for the year long deal".

Matey arrives to fix it today, turns it on and says "No water!" Turns tap at back of m/c, Hey Presto, working again . . . . . . . .

I sometimes wonder what my brain does at times - it clearly doesn't connect different bits of information. Oh well, wiser and poorer!
