It worked once. Why do you think it wouldn't have worked again?

Well, what I do know is that it has completely fkuced my hopes of retiring to rural France in a year or so.

By the time all the papers have been filled in, applications made and permissions granted, the lawyers will be a bit richer and I shall be long dead.

Great, absolutely great!

I agree. It seems only to be the Remoaners who don't understand this.

One of Corbyn's finest arrested and charged with perverting the course of justice.

Not mentioned in the mainsteam news, but it is alleged to centre around the illegal trading of driving licence points.

LibDem MP Chris Huhne and his ex wife Vicky Pryce each received eight months in jail plus massive fines for the same offence.

I have been on a committee with Fiona when we were both councillors. I wasn't overly impressed with the intelligence she displayed then - her decision not to learn from Chris Huhne doesn't make me think I got this wrong.

As a solicitor, if found guilty she will not be able to practise again.
What a risk to take!

But this is not relevant. And they are right - why should passports be required for travel within the United Kingdom?
ANPR would have told the staff 'This is SallyAnn +1, correct vehicle, booking paid'.

Which is the ferry company checking that I had paid for my crossing. The same thing happens on the Isle of Wight ferry.
Nothing whatever to do with immigration.

Farage didnt implement the referendum we had - look to David Cameron for that one. So the chances of him promising another vote if Leave lost are pretty slim to non-existant.

He didn't promise a second vote, he wasn't in a position to do that. I distinctly remember him on the evening of June 23 2016 after an exit poll had suggested a narrow Remain win saying that he didn't accept the result and would push for a re run.

Britain and EU formally start splitting WTO membership agreements

GENEVA (Reuters) - Britain and the European Union formally filed for divorce at the World Trade Organization on Tuesday, following many months of diplomatic preparations to smooth the way for the historic move.

The WTO circulated two confidential draft membership agreements among the Geneva trade club’s 164 members, separating Britain’s rights and obligations in merchandise trade from the EU’s for the first time in the WTO’s 23-year history. A separate split of services trade is expected to follow.

“It seeks to replicate the concessions and commitments applicable to the UK as part of the EU today. An important milestone as we prepare for our departure from the EU,” British Ambassador Julian Braithwaite wrote in a tweet.

Britain’s draft document, officially known as its “schedule”, is 719 pages long. “WTO members will have three months to review the schedule, which will be considered to be approved if there are no objections from other members,” the WTO said in a statement........

GTW, with respect, I think you omitted some important considerations go leaving: the ECJ, EU Regulations and immigration control which doesn't equate to sending brown people home.

I suspect the objection to free EU immigration was probably focused on the poorer countries of eastern Europe such as Bulgaria and Romania and the southern Balkan states. Immigrants from northern states seem to attract less adverse comment.

Labour luvvie and Corbynista Billy Bragg has told the Jewish community that they have work to do to rebuild trust with the Labour Party, claiming they are pouring petrol on the fire and making things difficult.
This comes after three of the UKs leading Jewish newspapers called out Corbyn for not doing enough to tackle anti-Semitism in Labour.

Just when you think Labour couldn't become any more stupid, they turn stupid up to eleven.

Exposing the Jew hating, anti-Semitic Labour party is "feral"? (That's how it is spelled)
Ask the young girls in Rotherham etc. who they think is feral. You will not like the answer, but votes for Labour is votes for Labour.
2,600,000 beats 260,000, any day.

What a lot of utter tosh! "Jew hating, anti Semitic". It seems the whole row is over the Labour Party's failure to include ALL of the examples of anti_Semitism given in the IHRA document. Labour have voted for the whole IHRA document to be approved and adopted by the party.
As for the Jewish media's recent outburst, I hope Corbyn will tell them to go boil their heads. We do not a religious organisation of any stripe, telling our politicians which way they must behave.
The anti Israel vs anti Jew si not complete BS.
