If Camber sands is so deadly and there is an increase of foreign visitors then would it not be a better idea to increase multilingual signage when it's an important safety matter?

That way they at least have a chance of figuring out what the dangers are and how to avoid them.

As sad as the incident is, it's not appropriate to have every inch of coastline guarded on the off chance that a visitor may come to harm.

The politics in Britain must be going the correct way to have the economy going like this:
Britain has world?s top economy | News | The Times & The Sunday Times
Economy gathers steam as British firms stay strong after Brexit vote
The economic consensus was horribly wrong and here are the real reasons Brexit is succeeding | The Independent
UK service sector sees strong expansion in December - BBC News

and I had to save this one to last (specially for KnC!)
https://www.theguardian.com/business...s-fastest-pace
(I love the bit in that one:"...confounding forecasters who had predicted growth would grind to a halt before the end of the year because of Brexit worries." Hale and Pace, from that other thread, please note!!)

And it's in the Guardian, how embarrassingly inconvenient is that for their Remoaner readers.

Aaaww, this will be nice......now, we can, or will be, all part of some utopian "shared society"......

https://www.theguardian.com/politics...justice-speech

I do appreciate there are more than a few on here who will actually believe in this delusion, the term and the criteria makes for good soundbites after all, however, as with all Tory policies, no doubt "terms and conditions, plus duplicity and reneging " will duly apply.

Corbyn screws up (yet again) and uses the Swiss flag symbol instead of the Red Cross one....

It's not that difficult to get right, is it?

You don't have to be too old to remember when
... makes for good soundbites after all, however, as with all New Labour policies, no doubt "terms and conditions, plus duplicity and reneging " will duly apply.
Difference with Labour now is that there is no "terms and conditions, plus duplicity and reneging" on policies as they have no policies .

So that leaves the Tories effectively unopposed.

If there was ever a doubt that these clowns were in decline

Corbyn to say Labour 'is not wedded to free movement'

The utter debacle that is 'apparent policy' as suggested here should put the final nail into the coffin.

Corbyn suggest maximum salary legislation.

Wait till the first Premier League match with players from the local sports club.

A new noun needs to be created for Corbyn. Buffoon doesn't quite measure up.

I foresee an increase, in the next few days, of people tweeting pictures of their LibDem welcome packs with a Labour membership card cut in half (there's been a steady trickle of these for some time).

This isn't over - Brexit is a symptom, not a cure.

If Labour thinks it can hold into their remaining lower class white seats in the north against UKIP they are delusional. And apart from their inner city seats they wil have little left - especially if white/ethnic social cleavage* grows.......

*Read this week's New Statesman, pages 25-33.

I don't necessarily want to see UKIP getting too much success however I think turning the political map purple would be a small price to pay to get rid of labour safe seats here in the north would be a small price to pay.

However, we will continue to vote in monkeys here. We are still stuck in the coalfield mentality and those evil tories are to blame for everything that's wrong with the area. Despite over a decade of labour government and labour councils we are still left behind.

This mentality will stick around for decades to come, until the older generiation pass on.

A new noun for Corbyn? The Beatles have already got to that one:
THE BEATLES LYRICS - Nowhere Man (read the lyrics!).

Now just to round that off, look up Mr Nowhere Man's first name!! Who would have thought that the Beatles would be so prophetic?

(His second name is interesting in this context too!)

Seems to be a lot of it about - yesterday we had May "making all her nowhere plans for nobody" - as if she'll ever get a chance to implement any non-brexit policy.

I suspect Mrs May will be implementing much more in the way of policy than that chinless wonder Farron ever will.

I agree with Gertrude. May's only footnote in history will be that she happened to be PM at the time of Brexit.

I think she will be remembered fondly as the first PM to deliver the will of the people. The end of March is but a few weeks away and the start of that glorious journey.
