Latest Example of 'Bad News Buried' by Labour

The government has been accused by the Liberal Democrats of using David Blunkett's resignation as an opportunity to bury bad news.

A report criticising the way police handle calls from the public had been scheduled for publication on Thursday but it was released by the Home Office a few hours after the work and pensions secretary stepped down earlier today.

Must be a common ploy by Labour Governments.

The NSW Labour Government was required to release documents about the latest "hot topic" in Sydney - the cross city tunnel.

They were released by the Government on the Tuesday, the deadline day, at 3 minutes past 3 - just after the start of the Melbourne Cup - "the race that stops the nation" here in Australia.

dead on.

'Labour' Governments used to be a bit anti-war too. Remember? Yours and ours seem as Gung Ho as even the most right wing in living memory.

Are we sure they're Labour?

Exclamation

ours seem as Gung Ho as even the most right wing in living memory.
They may be willing to throw what's left of our armed forces in at the deep end but have you noticed what they're about to do to the Royal Navy? Like make it finally disappear...?

Versatile Maritime Force my arse! This island is surrounded by water. Lots of it. In the circumstances a 'Versatile Maritime Force' would have at least five hundred ships including a couple of carrier battle groups and three score hunter-killer submarines to shout "Gotcha!" with. We could even call it something appropriate. Like "The Royal Navy" for instance.

Spin- doctors. A pox on them all.
