Hmmm....

The old Reverse Petard ploy. Fairly astute but a little transparent for a Monday morning, don't you think?

I's a been a busy bear. Please forgive my absence, miss.

Finchley Central

Some superb play in my absence, I see, but infrequent. Who would have thought that the Cleethorpes Paradigm would have been played in a lowly internet match like this! Masterful!

Have a jolly lovely Tuesday, won't you.

The flowers will soon be out as winter gives way.
So unless you have any objections, I shall employ Brigadier March - Forwards, Spring. This takes my move to.

Farkle's Paradox, eh? Uncle Susan was fond of paradoxes, and taught me them well. Thusly, a Cheeseworrier's Paradox under Cleethorpes gives me

Dalston Kingsland, and the gloves are most definitely off....

No more Mr Nice Guy. Turnipgroper was a fraud and a charlatan: poor old Uncle Susan would get into quite a state at the mere mention of his name. They met once, during the all-county championship of '57, and Uncle told me how they nearly came to blows over his blatant abuse of the "Wapping Drop". With that in mind, damn the torpedoes, and Kensal Rise.

Gloves off as you say Fraulein Humper???....OK...Mr Twotter can back me up on this also...your Uncle Susan (formerly known as 'Dave') was quite publically withdrawn from the '74 Frogspam-Fromagegrabber playoffs for a blatant infraction of 23846 differing conventions in usage at said time hence....he/she played new malden whilst in spoon and continued to proceed (or attempt to proceed I should say) to Heathrow T2 whilst diagonals and district Sunday Lattimers was in application and was also a GROSS difraction from the constraints set by the KOnninsby convention who took their time out from being Danish to actually define this gambit and according adjuncts.

Quite correct Mr Matlow. "Dave" was also seen associating with undesirable elements in a gentlemen's club devoted to fondling jelly whilst wearing ladies' underwear made from old chip wrapping newspapers. The subsequent scandal forced certain surgical *ahem*, alterations and a change of name.

Wapping to confound those who imagine a simple Rottingham Fourstep to follow....

Twotter plays a Wapping. Quite devastating to those; whose skills are less versatile.
I give notice that in the days hence. a Phargle pursuit, will be employed. This will cause Thread Baron to rip up floor boards and reveal some of his dusty MC Tomes. There will be much head scratching, as he cajoles the grey matter to combat this action.

But for the present. Grange Hill.
Who will be top of the class?

There could be many things I might reveal, but not my dusty tomes!

Amongst one's scholarly pursuits, one was an aficionado of Snakes and Ladders, and the strategies thereof have kept me in good stead in all conventions of MC.

So gentlemen, let me present the cross-pollinated slide to:

I would like to set the record straight, once and for all. Firstly, the gentlemen concerned were not "undesirable elements", they were all elected by members of the public exercising their democratic right. Secondly, the "Jelly fondling" was a time-honoured, regimental tradition. Thirdly, all charges were subsequently dropped due to lack of evidence and conflicting witness statements, and not, I stress NOT because of a hefty wad of the green and folding stuff slipped to the Chief Inspector at the time by Artemis Frogmorton-Hive Q.C., as was later suggested in the more "popular" press.

I digress.

Heron Quays.

I would appreciate it if this matter was now dropped, for the sake of dear Uncle Susan. He was a kind and gentle woman, if a trifle misunderstood.

Many thanks, Mr Thumper. One has always been a little concerned about the eventual outcome of the case but one can now see there was nothing underhanded. To continue play, Squidwrangler's Insignificant Nudge to

Tubthumpers uncle Susan was quite well aquainted with this rarely nowadays used evening gambit...

It was first discovered by Major Montgomery Sledgehammer-Frogspaff-Smythe whilst he bravely insisted on continuing a game of MC rather than go 'over the top' in the trenches in WW1.Considering that in that day and age a soldier could be shot at dawn for incorrect use of the Jubilee line,I consider it a great testiment to his bravery and MC knowledge that he utilised a flawless manoevre involving the use of two heterodhyne diagonals and thus proceeded full length of the Northern line in a sinusoidal manner.

It was later to be known as a Sledgehammer re-entry.

I give you gentlemen and 'ahem...that uncle Susan...
