Have just finished a 14 hour telephone call which I recieved from a very disgruntled and irate Mrs Trellis regarding the matter of recent outpourings from grumpy castle. After intense consultation with leading members of the 5th quadranters and various leather bound MC publications a conclusion has been drawn.

Now here is the catch...

If lord grumpy was born on a Thursday and has ever attended 'both watches' on a British warship then he is fully entitled to make that move (Drakes' gambit applies-Saltash convention 1589)

Anyway, just to keep Mr Twotter on his toes...

Making certain Kabalistic signs from the waist down and hopping backward on one leg with a rose between one's teeth and with one's *ahem*, nether garments wedged on one's head to ward off spoon...

Hounslow

Sorry, Rusty - illegal move, for repetition (see last game) and for non-specific Hounslow move.

That being that, I move from Bond St to Tooting Bec

Sorry, Jordan, nul points. Rusty was perfectly entitled to make that move under the Springbok, Wallaby and Kangaroo convention, article 27, from the 1927 rulebook purely due to the fact that some dolt tried it before and it was disallowed then. The Reverse Plantagenet With Half Twist move allows repetition on alternate Wendnesdays and Thursdays in December on an odd numbered year divisible by 5.

Therefore, your move is disallowed and we move from Hounslow to Marble Arch

Champagne, anyone?
Cheers!

I have to say that I am astounded at both the skillful play and the creative use of the rule book that has taken place since I last poked my nose round the door of this fair mansion.

Hounslow to Marble Arch is particularly creative. As I read the 1936 Delft convention this places Rusty in a serious danger of being shunted.

Mr Bear, I counter your Marble Arch with a very severe Canada Water!

That was a very severe tackle which also saw the "black cab revolt......sarf of the river, you must be having a laugh guv" manoeuver.

I give you Shadwell

Bluey, no one but an Aussie would be mad enough to play Oxford Street on a Thursday during the Christmas shopping season!

Oh, the crowds, the noise, the jolly cockney pickpockets....

Quickly, off to Cockfosters

Of course, and Stratford should neatly handle the Antipodean challenge.

Thursday also means that I can invoke a Macawber and swiftly move to Green Park avoiding a congested Piccadilly Circus. Get out of that one tee hee !

Antipodeans please note that a reverse coriolis can be used but only at your discretion.

Thanks BD. This gives me the chance to dash in with a barnstorming Arnos Grove.

Just out of interest, does anyone know who Arno was? Or why he has a grove?

I would like to take this opportunity to unveil a totally new MC manouvre,it is largely influenced by the late and great Arthur Engelburt from somewhere in Yorkshire.

Gentlemen...I present to you the airsouthwest gambit with added 'WOW' factor!!!

plymouth
Bristol
Manchester
Heathrow T4

Comments would be greatly appreciated.
<Takes a bow>

Also,as Mrs Trellis tells me-Pprune is one of the last bastions of quality MCmanship available in current times and I think it would be fitting for a convention on various rules/amendments and possibly even more new gambits.

Good Lord, Mr Matlow...

Are you insane?

Look! The wallpaper's already coming off one's hat with the sheer audacity of that play...

One will grudgingly nominate...

Was given this move by a young chap with an owl in a cage. We'd had a good match while waiting in King's Cross last September on a train to York, when he gave me this move, that flabbergasted me into submission of Vauxhall Bridge, before he called the inevitable. I'd turned to see if my train was boarding, but while I'd considered another move, he'd gone. It's happened a lot between the 9-10 platforms, a few Mornington fans come together, play, then vanish off to their trains.

And another tip. if you want a good MC game, head to King's Cross and find a fan there. they seem to dress weird, like in robes or something.

Anyway, the move.

No doubt The Australian challenge will occur during the night.
One hopes you enjoy this little tease WIMBLEDON PARK

To challenge one's Crudbolt would be sheer folly, your Lordship. One is aggrieved to note that one appears to be trapped in a von Maltitz Bottleneck with no escape save the use of the old Purbright Lateral Insertion ploy...

One fears the RBPs may not be up to the task.
