I can only presume that you disregarded Cartman's patently illegal preceding move to Whitechapel? Even applying the ETC Gambit, this could not posibly have been legal given such a recent visit to Liverpool St by Gainesy.

If I remember correctly, in the 1983/4 World Championship Qualifier where Sweden met France at the Brighton Pavilion, one of the French players attempted a double-back move to Wimbledon. Although quite an obvious move, it was vetoed by the then 'English Mornington Crescent Board. With that in mind, and not wishing to cause undue upset amongst our French cousins, I am going for a rather unusual play of....

wait for it....

Hornchurch

I bet that has put the cat amongst the pigeons!!!

PS, nice spot of the Balham Sidestep issue, I wondered whether anyone would pick that up, but was unable to post at the time!

Good Lord, man! Are you quite certain?

This could cause utter chaos. One will attempt to remedy matters but not holding out much hope. Perhaps

Beaconsfield

will suffice....

Forgive me for barging in. I am an amateur at the game but one needs to start somewhere so this seems a good enough place. After studying the rules for some time I believe Tooting HS can be easily countered by a swift double back to Parsons Green

Hmmm ... and that allows me to play the Holy Folk Agreement (c1956) in conjunction with Open Space (2004), to move to:

Balham

Verging on disqualification, young man.

You're fortunate in that the Harper's Ferry Entitlement of 2001 has made provision for such a move in the paragraph dealing with parallel constrictures. A lucky guess perhaps?

The only counter, of course, is

Bethnal Green

This thread is in danger of dropping off the front page so... even though the scribblers moved out years ago, I’m a traditionalist.

This had sunk to page 2.... shameful.

Hard day at work, so I'll play the Long Hours Rule (1996) to move to West Finchley

Why make it difficult, when with a little more effort...

I'm invoking my right to use the 40th Article of 1549 (and if you want to see my qualifications for that, you'll have to pay the search fee to the General Synod).

So using the 1932 map...

I wonder if there's a Mardian station present in the list before? If so, that would put the Irish Labourer Upset into action, which would allow a move to the span-new LUAS light rail system in Dublin. Considering it's a tuesday after an exclusively Irish Bank Holiday, then a move to Harcourt Street would be in order.

If there's no Mardian, then I'll play Moneyspinners, and Bank.

Mmmm…

As I am starting a few days vacation tomorrow I’ll take the risk of being Huffed and invoke clause 2.c.iii of the 1949 convention - the “vacation wind down rule” which allows a double straddle AND a sidestep to …..

Deptford Creek

Naturally this is the east side or the move would be illegal!
