tis not my first post, check the last few pages, I have been a fairly regular player of this remarkable game... For some reason, however, my posts are not counting up... Somebody care to suggest a reason why...???

And anyway, though normally, the Marylebone move would be indeed frowned upon, the Swizzle used, infact shifted play via Oxford Road, which I believe is adequate, if not exactly ideal.

Im all for being questioned, I am by no means the finished article when it comes to MC, but I consider myself suitably equipped to play moderately well, and hold my own... [my own what..? you may well ask.... ]

Anyway, allowing the game to flow as much as is possible, I put into play the cunning move used by a certain Foxbury-Heddington in the York All-Comers Marathon of 1965, and call Kensington [Olympia].

Ah, no need for apologies, was a very easy conclusion to come to.

The nurse has been kind enough to take you to West Harrow?

Well, in that case, I feel duty bound to play Seven Sisters.

Quite why, I do not know....

Your posts don't count if they are made in JetBlast, hence they aren't increasing. If we were to play MC elsewhere, Tech Log, for example, then they'd count. It'd be a brave (far braver than me) man who tried it, though.

I'm glad to see that Mr reuters has dragged us back kicking and screaming into some form of normality.

Now I do believe that I have an interesting dilemma. I do believe that the Fortescue Covenant would allow me to play, if I so desired, Mornington Crescent. However, as you can see, it isn't in bold type, so it won't be my play. The reason for this is because I want to cause a bit of "trouble". If I now play Dollis Hill (and this time it is in bold type), then Mr muppet has to miss 2 turns and both mr reuters and Mr SRT are obliged, under Ffarquahrs Flibbertygibbet, to take a free move each which could, all things being equal, put us in Knid if anyone plays through.

On this day in 1923, Mr Alphonse Flaubert was reported to have played a Krakow Vertical Deployment immediately after Sir John Threepwood had taken Paddington in a Canadian Triple Slide. The ensuing explosion and rain of peanut butter has left no evidence to verify this as fact but a team of forensic cosmologists, examining the last few lumps of hardened legume stuck to the roof of the Wanderer's club, deduced that it could indeed have been nuclear fusion (or last night's curry).

In Memoriam...

Willesden Green puts us in peril but removes the lase little element by being as close as it is to Dollis Hill.

Subtle use of von Wielligh's Ovoid Tangential, Mr Plate. It does, however, place you in the position of being subject to Blarkle in three if the present Nv decreases below 37%. In an attempt to maintain the velocity of the outer ring, a Trurow Conscription to

It's Friday.

But surely my dear Mr Bear this in flagrant breach of the 1947 convention that clearly states "Finchley Road & Frognal may not be used to gain advantage before 6pm Saturday" Section 51 (b) ammended by rule 101(a)((iii))

For my part and in a vain attempt to remain inside the confines of the convention I would venture a trip to Bath Road my dear sir!

I'm sure Mr Bear would argue that he did not use Finchley Road & Frognal to gain an advantage. Indeed he left the way open for MC by anyone but himself in three.

Unfortunately Bath Road closes the door to that for the time being.

I will call

The 1947 convention was more an addendum to the earlier Helsinki Synod where the groundwork for the Farmington-Milne Avoidance was thrashed out, particularly para 3(b) of sub part 327(i) and most of sub part (ii). The reference to the penguins has been mooted as symbolic but some die hard orthodox players still cultivate a gaggle for this purpose. It must be said these fellows are easily traced as they all have a current account at their local fire extinguisher refiller and certifier, which shows a great deal of movement. Most of the modern players make do with a cup of tea and a small ginger biscuit instead.

Nevertheless...

It is about time to use The Able. This manouvre, never completely described, is similar to a Thuxtons Ace.
Thus with that in mind follow Hangar Lane. Take care folks, Mr Twotter has his divination tools on the map table, that can only mean one thing.........

One has run out of sacrificial hamsters, your Lordship. This makes it impossible to divine the next three moves and pre empt the descent into either spoon or knid. One will, however, roll up a trouser leg and consume a jam doughnut instead.
