East-west equality? It'll never happen... Still, suppose it's slightly more likely than a North-South balance...

Forgive the play for being at a silly time, but the placeholder for the remaining hours of darkness, I feel, ought to be Bond Street, right back into the middle, for an easy omni directional move for whoever's adventurous enough first thing in the morning.

Aaahhh, Putney-Watkins, what a sad loss to MC. One well remembers his signature move with fondness and a certain tenderness in the left knee. A tallow candle is all one has left of the great man. In remembrance

Sorry to break up the party Mr Twotter but I don't think St Pancras is a legal move when there has been a vortex created within the last five moves.

I will therefore make my move - Vauxhall (putting the Metropolitan line in the ascendancy).

But one is wearing unmatched socks, Mr Reuters. This would cause a Pilkington Impartiality and accelerate the Nv to above 23.2%, leaving those who impinge on the vortex from the off side in spoon, but releasing those of a more adventurous bent to play the Throckmorton Corollary, thus

One goes away for a couple of days and play descends to Yahtzee Compendium Rules! Honestly, what on earth is going on here? Next it'll be Cluedo.

I fear I must get us back on track. So, wishing no ill from SRT's Paddington, I shall deftly avoid Blarkle with a Lateral Hump Shunt, allowable only with certain kinds of rolling stock, but following the Burton-Hoggs-Bottom Precedent of 1926 (last played, I believe, at the MC World Championships of Stockholm in 1947), this should not pose a problem rovided that there is a white stripe of not less than 32 inches on the carriage immediately behind the driving unit.

Therefore, after much thought and debate, Goldhawk Road

Pretty nifty, but to any Essex habitu the station in question is clearly Dagenham

But I salute your play Sir or Madam, I salute you.

It is unfortunate that one will be forced to play the Hopkins-Pillbury Resurgence to counter an imminent Blarkle from Mr Bear. One is afraid this will have the effect of increasing the number of moves required before a player may call MC, according to one's Cribbit's Notation.

Foiled! Dash that SRT - he's such a good player! You spotted the risky Blarkle - well done!

Still, with tail between legs I shall play the Westhampstead rule allowing a slide to Alperton

Alperton, eh?

Hmm, an interesting choice... An old dusty almanac I once unearthed from the vaults of some Middle England library referred to that move as "risky at best - and at worse, downright sinister!"...

But anyway, I digress, with MC now suitably far away, I feel it is time to play my Checkers Hop-Skip Swizzle and allow myself to call Marylebone.

Hah! Not on your first post! Dear me, you can't play Marylebone on your first post! Harrumph!

We could permit you Shepherds Bush and then you would have been legitimate.

Earthmover, tisk tisk!

Sheperd's Bush is just as illegal as Maryleborne.

Bank, however, with the ever-legal Moneyspinners, isn't.

I'm sorry but has everyone taken temporary leave of their senses?
Marylebone, Shepherds Bush and then Bank?
I can't begin to count the number of rules that such a series of moves breaks.
I would like to restore some order to events with a through-tunnel to Oxford Circus. And before some smart-alec tries to claim that such a move would be in breach of article 45(2) of the 1947 Bloomsbury Code I would point out that clause 3.2(b) of the 2001 Revised 'Classic' Rules (which revoke article 45 of the 1947 Code) states that in the event of three consecutive invalid moves, any player who is not in spoon may reset the equlibrium of the Northern Line by putting it back into hatching with the Bakerloo Line by means of a through-tunnel. Hence the move I have just played.
Might I be so bold as to suggest that a couple of players could do with a refresher on the rules of this ancient and really very simple game...

Well saved, Mr Reuters. Could have been a major descent into creel for all of us without timely intervention. The residual cycle of line velocities appears to have been severely stretched, so a quick Leadbetter Quantum Redoubt should get things back on track.
