Ciao tutti!

I of course heard the news about 6P/ISG ceasing operations recently and as with so many of you, it came as no surprise. Having read Cyderman's comments, he is absolutely spot on.

I can only look back on my time at Clubair with fond memories of the friends that I made and the time that we spent trying to keep the airline going and make it as safe as possible despite the best efforts of "the dentist" (is his website still active?) and the management.

Finger's crossed, Bruno and that ugly, high-pitched voiced, hygiene troubled son of his, end up far away from the aviation business for a very long time for everyone's safety. As for that Malavasi ********, I hope he will gracefully retire to a mental institute where he belongs.

The engineers that worked very hard to keep the ageing fleet of aircraft flying were some of the best professionals that I have had the pleasure to work alongside, they did a very commendable job despite no recognition and were only criticised and threatened by the management (ie Tercatin and his spineless chimp of a puppet Pellis) when they refused to sign off maintenance tasks and defects that the management were trying to coerce them into doing! I hope for the safety of others, Andrea Pellis never works in aviation again! The same goes for Tercatin when he finally gets out of prison! ;-)

Anyway, I wish all of my friends that I made there (and you know who you are) all the luck in the world and I hope you all get better jobs soon and have a prosperous and happy 2007!

Best Wishes!!

The Engineer from the start of Clubair with Hoss! ;)

Hi cider...

Wel, I agree with you: MM started from the local flying club and did a remarkable job with the FTO beside Clubair's duties. Shame (or luck...?) he didn't take me on when I met him for a FI position. It's sad to watch something that started from nothing collapse in such way...Agai, I feel sorry for all you folks and for the weird Xmas they gave you. I am surprized lots of my co-citizens think this is the way aviation has to be riuled in this country...:suspect:

Wish U all the best

Seems the rumors of Club Air relaunching are true...

An announcement on their website indicates that they will resume services in April, with flights from Verona to Chishinev, Leopoli-L'Viv, Cluj , Bucarest, Bacau, and Pristina, from Firenze to Bucarest, and from Torino to Bucarest! Apparently they have a new owner and new management.

Anyone have any details?

Here we go again...So if you're so sure & safe would you mind to let us know how, when, where and...how long for? Here beside me there is one guy with dirty hands (Maintenance) looking for at least 3 months unpaid wages...he had to head back to homeland with his pocket-cash and that sucks, so he wants to be sure before returning to the "belpaese" for another "Italian big time"...:E

It might be they will restart on April 1st ...:E :} :p :{ :(

Be very careful and CYA :=

ciderman 17th Mar 2007 01:32

Are people really that naive that they will fly with an airline with such a past? It employs the otherwise unemployable because they have some hold over the Italian powers that be and it's safety culture is laughable. Flying into testing places too. I for one will not be rushing to buy a ticket!!

spagiola 16th Apr 2007 15:37

The Club Air website now gives May 2 as the restart date (the first time it has mentioned a specific date). But the rest of the site (schedules, etc) still seems unchanged from pre-stop times. So no details on their plans, yet.
