Refuelling airport !

Hi guys,

I plan to visit a friend in Malta in the coming weeks and I was looking to refuel around Rome and more precisely in Urbe. Is it a good plan? Do you see any alternatives ? (maybe cheaper ? ) Knowing that I'm coming in a PA28, there is no problem for me to land on a grass strip but it seems that avgas is not very common...

Any advices very welcome

Thanks.

You can refuel at Terni: quicker and cheaper than Urbe. Closed on Mondays. Caution, parachute activity.

I confirm Terni as a cheaper option compared to Urbe. Especially now with the new fuelling station located on the opposite side of the airport You would avoid flying to Urbe.

Where are you coming from ? If it happens you fly over Corse I know for sure Figari is cheaper than Italy.
100 NM south of Naples there is Scalea. I think is about 3 euros, very very fast and friendly.

...what about a fuel stop somewhere along the adriatic east coast ? Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, prices there are usually well below 2.50 € per liter nowadays.

LJPZ Portoroz 2.20
LDZD Zadar 2.25
LDDU Dubrovnik 2.28
LYTV Tivat is very cheap, should be below 2 €/L

that'a a nice link about fuel prices

Well, i'm coming from Nancy (LFSN, north east of France), so i will not overfly Corse, and the Adriatic coast is to far from the planned route (the shortest possible ) so...
I was expecting between 2.8 and 3€, so i'm not surprised. Anyway, thanks for the advices and the link
