Private Pilot Ultraleggero

I hope someone can answer this for me because everyone I talk with seems to have a different answer. Can a person with a PPL (I have the convalida with an FAA license) fly an Ultraleggero in Italy?

Can't talk for Italy but usually your ppl hours and theory will credit towards a microlight license, you will still have to do some type of conversion though, in Australia, it is only 5 hours flight time, in south Africa 20 hours flight and 3 theory exams.

You have to send a copy your ppl to AeroClub Italia.your ppl is recognised and the National authority (AECI) Will give you the National microlight licence,of course other than the copy of the licence you must fill an application form and pay arouond 50 euros.
