Convalida FAA in Italia
Io ho completato la convalida oggi. Se avete domande, chiedete
Ho scrito come fatto in inglese.
Convalida
1. Contact ENAC Flight Safety
2. Provide FAA License information. ( Email a copy of your FAA license) They will validate it.
3. Get an Italian 2nd class medical certificate. (mine was €70.00)
4. Buy two tax stamps "Bolli" for €14.62 each
5. Make a bank transfer to ENAC for €52.68. (Flight safety will give you the bank code)
6. Make an appt with ENAC Flight Safety.
7. Bring the two tax stamps, medical certificate, copy of bank tranfer to the appt.
8. The license is made on the spot. It's good for one year and cannot be renewed.
Total cost: €151.92

Scusate la domanda e l'ignoranza, ma quindi si tratta di licenza da FAA a JAA? E poi cosa si intende per convalida? Non c'entra nulla con la conversione, o mi sbaglio? E' come andare negli States con un PPL italiano e farselo convalidare per poter volare anche lì?

Negli States e' diverso: il tuo PPL FAA, dato di ufficio e basato su quello JAA, e' valido e rinnovabile indefinitivamente.
