I wouldn't, as your IP will just flag up on their system. Also, if you do fail, so what, you're career will be full of failures, you won't be able to just try again but you'll need to work out on the spot what to do. If you fail, it's not a sign that you're not capable, rather everyone else has either got that problem solving ability, or if they haven't they've worked on it, so don't shortcut that process, it's not sustainable. Try your best, that's all you can do, breathe and solve the questions, they aren't horrendous, just stay calm and solve them. You'll be fine!

Cruxy 27th January 2025 21:42

I understand. I only asked since in another thread regarding BA Speedbird academy you are given several attempts before failure and I wasn't 100% sure if TUI did follow the same idea. I knew I was underprepared but my 2am brain told me to do it anyways, I certainly wasn't expecting the logical reasoning to throw me off as it did and I only fully understood how it worked in the last question. That's on me and... definitely not a professional look of me. I'll make sure I don't make the same mistake when BA Speedbird academy opens up next month and TUI next year. Best of luck to all :)

Hi guys,

Was reading through this forum, in order to see what i needed to do roughly in order to pass the tests - fortunately, it seems like i'm in the clear since i've recieved the email accepting me into the digital interview (will be receiving the results tomorrow), and also have got the DI on my portal.
Though something that i am somewhat confused about is that i have another cognitive reasoning module that its allowing me to take. I don't really understand why, and i don't want to click on it and potentially screw anything up.
If anybody else has the same situation please let me know.
And any tips for the DI would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

For those asking about the 'About Me' section, they're just simple multiple choice questions about your eligibility and they also ask about your GCSE/A levels/Degree grades, and some biological questions (Age, sex, ethnicity etc). Basic stuff that needs no preparation.

With regards to the online assessments, I can see that I can click on them individually so I am assuming this means that I can do them individually/spread out throughout the day, but just wanted to check to see if this was the case? Wouldn't want to start one assessment and realise that I'm not prepared/got time to complete the other two. Thanks in advance!

I did mine spread out through the evening and passed through to the next stage. Hope that helps

How did you find the interview? Going to do mine today. Good luck!

Can you remember how long it said you had to complete the digital interview after you passed the assessments?

Paradiddles1 31st January 2025 13:40

From what others have said you don't get a chance to re-record your answers. Theres a practise mode on the SOVA website that allows you to practice them. It works the same way as any one sided interview.

Believe its 5 days after you get the email, so use that time to practice and prep

may brilliant, same as the time to complete to the assessments, good to know. Thank you, haven’t been able to find that out anywhere.

Could someone add me to the WhatsApp group chat as well please?

ASFOS 2nd February 2025 19:56

Just out of curiosity I was wondering if anybody knows what ATPL exam standard TUI / BA expect of their cadets? I can imagine it would be higher than the 75% pass mark and can assume they wouldn't allow many if any fails at all?

MarkBaum 2nd February 2025 19:59

Would someone also be kind enough to add me to the Whatsapp Group? :)

That's a great question, I too would be interested. Perhaps someone on here entered the cadet scheme in 2024 and might be able to chime in about this?

ModularMerchant 5th February 2025 08:24

I know BA for the Speedbird Academy it's 85% average no more than 3 resits, as well as First Series passes in flight tests. Seeing that TUI asked for the same requirements for those being tagged by LE and Skyborne I would assume also 85% and no more than 3 fails for the MPL.

Flightradar247 6th February 2025 12:56

When I login to tui careers, the date has changed to 2/2. Anyone else had the date change? Recon this is a bad sign?

No clue! I completed my video interview on 20/01. My application currently says 'In Progress', but the date is showing 23/01.

Potatos_69 7th February 2025 23:24

How much time do you have from reading the question(s) to starting the interview responses?

you have two minutes to prepare your answer before the camera will record your response.

you can practise by searching sofa assessment practise.

Bowen 737800 1st March 2025 03:54

Just wondering, with it being an MPL not a ATPL how hard would it be to convert the license? Would you get the hours to unfreeze it with TUI then just need to do the skills test?

Ideally yes, the only problem as far as I see it is that if they were to make you redundant before you got your 1500 hours and converted it the. You wouldn’t be able to join any other airline. You’d have to go through the training all over again.

Does anyone know roughly when we will start to hear back?

Just got the boot. Good luck to the rest of you guys!

Ozzyman84 17th March 2025 18:21

Yup, just got my rejection email. Good luck to all those who passed!

Just got the good news, wasn’t expecting it until the later in march like last year so very pleasant surprise. My condolences to those who were not as fortunate.

Did you make it through?

I just got the boot but it was my first time applying and didn't quite know what to expect. In retrospect I should have done more prep. I thought focus would be more on aptitude and cognitive ability but all MPL cadet schemes seem quite heavily focused on interviews/motivation which is understandable. I guess once you're capable/good enough, that's what it boils down to.

Good luck to everyone who has made it through to the next stage. Still a long way to go looking at previous forums/their schedule but one to revel in that's for sure!

As for me...I'll be back!

Ksw84 17th March 2025 20:22

Received my invite, selected the 11th due to my shifts at work. Not far for me to travel thankfully living in Nottingham, but if anyone is travelling further afield, and wants some advice on Hotels/logistics please reach out.

Flyingmuslim 17th March 2025 21:43

Has anyone received an email saying they have passed but have been put on the waiting list? Does anyone know the process/likelihood of making it onto the assessment center day. Looking at this forum, some people have received links to book dates...

Have you managed to access the link for instructions in how to get there? The link asks me to download an app called "Monday" but can't see any information

Haven't managed to yet, takes me to a sign in page for Monday for which you sign in through SOVA i think, but I don't remember having a SOVA password, I just clicked the link on previous emails and it automatically signed me in.

I fix planes I duz 18th March 2025 01:24

Rejection for me too. Good luck everyone else.

eden.vnst 18th March 2025 05:14

For those getting a Monday sign in page when you click on the link, sign into your TUI dashboard where you did the tests, you can access the booking from there.

Are you referring to the link on the e mail to book a date for the assessment centre? I've managed to do that from the invite e mail, it's the second link which is further down the e mail which mentions how to get to the assessment centre that I can't access through the e mail. I have checked the TUI dashboard and there are no details I can see on there.

Going to drop you a PM!

Rc2037 18th March 2025 10:23

Just had an email from TUI to everyone going to the East Midlands in regards to clearing up what counts as proof of NI number and they acknowledged the link doesn't work so attached a document about getting there instead.
