TUI Assessment Pilot Day East Midlands
 

Hello to all whom read this,

Do you or anyone you know what is asked on the TUI pilot assessment day at East Midlands. The day will comprise of a group task, a case study and then technical questions. They will score points on you for the first part and if you are successful you move onto the interview which will be held during the second part of the day. Any ideas on what a case study is or what kind of technical questions I can expect? Also are these tests timed? Any help would be much appreciated.

Have you gotten the date for the assesment day? I am still waiting to hear back from them.

Still not heard either. On my profile it still says “complete your assessments” even though it shows as being completed when I click onto it. Anyone else’s like that?

Any updates for anyone after the digital interview?

Exactly the same as me.

I emailed them the other day to check everything was ok with it saying that and they said it was.

Hi, just checking to see if anybody has heard anything from TUI since the video interview, Good or bad.

I understand a load of invites just went out? Anyone receive any?

I received an invite to an assessment day in July, I’ve heard there were other invites sent out for dates in August.

I've just received an invite this morning for an assessment day in August so there is still hope for others that haven't heard anything yet.

I also noticed from the assessment day schedule that a simulator assessment wasn't included. Does anyone know if this would be completed at a later date or if TUI don't include sim checks for NTR candidates?

They never used to for TR candidates, can’t comment on NTR but I wouldn’t be too surprised. My understanding from some friends there is that TUI is very much about finding people who will fit in to their company culture and training them - they have excellent training too.

I believe that if you are successful on the assessment day you will be invited to a sim assessment (NTR candidates)

I received an assessment date in August is yours on the 17th too? Also does anyone know what the Group activity, case study and technical interview consist of?

I hope everyone who's had their assessments heard some good news and best of luck to all those of have theirs to come.

Mine's in September... Does anyone know the what to expect in detail and regarding the technical questions whether it'll be a paper or asked in the interview?
And to what extent will it delve into the ATPL theory as its been 4 years since I did my exams !!

Could anyone give a breakdown of what to expect on the assessment day one regards to each stage of the assessment day. Is there any sim assement?

What feedback can you give from the SIM and interview?

As above really.

Group Exercise, Case study and a technical and maths test. If you do well in the first half you get to the interview in the afternoon. Pretty straightforward HR interview.

Sim will be a week after your assessment day. I haven’t done the sim yet.

Can you share any details as to what we can expect from the case study, tech/maths test and the group ex?

Normal group exercise. Nothing out of the ordinary.
ATPL Theory questions, Speed, distance and time calculations.
HR interview - can’t remember any specific questions it was all a blur. But nothing to catch you out.

ATPL theory questions ? I thought they were hiring those with potentially zero flying hours. How would they know the answers to those questions.

Regarding the ATPL theory questions; this is probably my weak point.
Did the test lean heavy towards one ATPL topic in particular or all of them. Which would you say were the most questions subjects, and can you remember any types of questions?
