SunExpress FO Recruitment Process
Hello everyone, inexperienced CPL holder here.
SunExpress has contacted me and right now they want me to train for Mollymawk. I've heard that their process (Mollymawk->sim assessment->interview) is very difficult and they have a very low recruitment rate Has anyone been called or hired yet? Any pilots here with SunExpress experience? I'd highly appreciate any info, details, or help regarding the recruitment process Thanks! |

It's not so difficult and practice kind of makes it perfect. I had a good score in all modules, it's certainly not difficult if you prepare beforehand. Regarding the issue you are encountering, you unfortunately have some limitations (moderator validation, 1 message in PM ...) because you're quite new in the forum. I beleive that after posting 5 messages, these limitations are removed. I see that you currently have 3 messages postes, so u're almost there ;) |

I don't know about the others. None of them were in the same phase as me either, they were cadet candidates who had to wait for an email to learn about the result: I learned mine right after I finished my tests.

Yes indeed. For Mollymawk I tried to come up with my own methods for each module. Finding a "cheat code" helps out a ton. For the sim assessment, be fully prepared for the scenario and the aircraft. You'll most likely fly with a crosswind so beware. I don't think you'll be rejected for missing one or two non-essential call-outs but make a stable approach and landing. I did both Mollymawk and sim assessment in Antalya.

Preparation: SXS screening .pdf, Lufthansa systems LIDO chart videos, YT videos about type (Pilotclimb, 737NG driver, Just Planes), X-plane 11 B738, simulator IFR refresher session, MCC material on CRM/task-sharing/callouts, B738 checklist Place: Antalya port in a B738 FFS, at the ramp give your passport and your taxi driver's ID card to the porter Screening: Tasks exactly as in the brochure, very demanding and not hard to fail if you have no previous MPA experience Tips: make sure you learn the brochure very well! Pitch-power values are of special importance. Also, SXS claims you should fly it like you do your current type, which is essentially true, but my opinion is that one should familiarize themselves with the type beforehand. Youtube videos from the mentioned channels help a lot with this - especially with speeds, call-outs, checklist triggers and when to retract/extend flaps. Result: Passed Good luck! |

Good day. The package that you purchased from pilotassessments.com do the commands come relatively slowly or super fast in SO module? The mock tests for the mollymawk SO module are nothing compared to the actual test. The commands come way faster in the actual test. Looking forward for your reply. Thanks. |

Difficulty increases during the SO practice test on pilotassessments.com, so it begins in a slower pace with only a few turns and moves but increases during the test to a very difficult level (for me) with many and very fast commands. Still some practice for me on this level :) A buddy of mine who completed the official Mollymawk assessment mentioned these prep tests form a good preparation! Cheers! |

Thanks. Remember: SXS are known for being extremely elective in the final interview. In my interview day, the success ratio was 0/5. They aren't looking for good pilots: they are looking for a specific type of colleague to work with, so don't feel bad or "not enough" if you fail.. Be yourself, don't be too rigid, they want pilots that are flexible enough to be bent according to their needs & calm but not disinterested pilots. Good Luck! |

I had just received an email from SXS requesting further documentation. I'm NTR, no experience on CS25 aircraft. 1. From your previous experience with SXS, How long is the selection process and what would be a realistic date that I can expect an interview? 2. What are the best resources to study? I have read above about pilotassessment and mollymawk. I know everyone prepares from ACE technical pilot, but if you have more specific resources or any advice at all I would highly appreciate it! 3. What are the expectations for the Sim check? |
First they invite you to the Mollymawk, followed by sim, then HR interview. Pass has an updated test that is quite similar to the mollymawk thing but not 100% identical. You can use that before attempting the mollymawk practice tests which are limited. It'll help you to get good scores.

EU passport is not mandatory for sunexpress.

The final interview is the most dreaded part for many. Usually two captains,HR rep and the aviation psychologist will be present. They ask a range of questions from making you show different countries on the map to mental math calculations and different ATPL theory questions. Your english fluency will also be assessed. Make sure you cover all the areas equally since they try to find your weak spot and challenge you. You could be tricked too to find out how you react.A lot of people find this interview very challenging so prepare well.
