I guess is talking about the 45000 euro for the atpl frozen + 23000 euro for the type + 45000/50000 for the line training and you ended up paying 120000 euro. the price of a tiny house.

aozc 17th Nov 2012 12:12

In Europe no one will recruit you with 500hrs today. In the ME and far East they want much more. Maybe in Africa?

truckflyer 17th Nov 2012 21:28

500 hours on type?

I think you have a better chance to get a job than a person with 0 hours on type.

But also I think depends what kind of flying it was, with or without safety pilot for part of those 500 hours. Heard stories of companies doing this with safety pilot during all the training, what value does it have than?

I-RICK 20th Nov 2012 10:13

for sure you will have a better chance to get a job than one with no hour on type.
I think that the company you're speaking about is a turkish one...right?
Anyway the most important requirment for airliner is the amount of hours on type, the total filght time is important but not necessary..

500 above 20th Nov 2012 11:07

I-RICK, are you for real? Total time means nothing now, does it? You, no doubt will pay for 500 hours on type and will still not have a job. There are pilots with thousands of hours on jet types with no jobs - mostly because of people like you who will pay to play for 250/500 hours, doing time served experienced pilots out of work. At the end of the 500 hours, you will be out and the next wet behind the ears SSTR/LT takes your seat.

FWIW, Qatar have hired crews without any jet time or ratings. As have DHL, flybe etc. All want total time, not time on type. All pay you (novel, isn't it?) to do the rating and WORK for them...

I don't know what planet you are from but my experience is that with low hours you still have to pass the same entry tests at the career airline that most people want to go to as people without a TR. So you can buy a TR, buy the hours (flown generally by crappy airlines with shoddy procedures), increase your debt big time and still NOT being hired.... Smart move! :=

Guys, still the old joyful song of P2F...
I often tell to my students to keep the dad's business running smooth because they will need roughly 160K euro to put their butt on the right seat of an airlininer...and still will not be sure to have a salary at the end of the month...
BUT : there are no other chances other than these : either the money, or the connections. Apart from the very rare airlines sponsored schemes...
This job is becoming more and more like the entertainment and/or the politic business... :yuk:

linetraining.net scam

Hallo people,
regarding these "agency",i wrote to them asking info and they replied with a standard mail saying that they can't provide location, company etc.

So i went deeply inside this linetraining in "south Europe" and i found out where it is.
They use a TRTO in Tunise called ATCT,wich It's using Tunis air for linetraining.Basically you do the type with them and then you fly...and LLINETRAINING.NET?? as all these "agency" they are just charging extra money to the applicants just to be intermediaries!
Guys don't pay to fly,but if you have to do it than get information and don't let these "smart people" take advantage of you.

Here is the details

ATCT aviation
Cpt Abdelaziz Jebali

tel: +216 71911811
mob: +21698363022

link: ATCT, Aviation Training Center of Tunisia, Flight simulator, A 320 simulator, Airbus, Thales, A320 FMGS trainer

Enjoy!

One of my close friends used these guys for A320 TR + 500 hours LT, I advised him against this as it's not good, but sure enough he was a late bloomer and only finished his training at the tender age of 43!

He is pretty well off having previously been in the upper management of a large hotel group, and later setting up and managing his own franchise, hence money really is of no object to him.

To cut a long story short, he was promised LT if he did the TR with them, after finishing TR he waited over 12 months just to start the procedure of being inducted in to the airline, this induction took a further 4 months to arrange training, uniform ID etc etc etc

After he started flying, captains apparently very rude and don't respect you, he said he only ever got to be PF with the TRE of the airline but mainly doing radios and paper work in cockpit etc.

500 hours took him 18 months to finish, airline constantly canceling flights on him and generally messing him about.

After 500 hours literally told that he's time was up and he left, till now he never flew again despite applying for countless jobs

Main red flags are
Exactly 500 hours A320
Jet job with just a bear CPL and no history
Only 750 hours TT

The type + LT + living expenses for 18 months cost him well over 100 large!

Cloabp 12th Aug 2014 23:13

Lately I've seen a couple of companies asking for time on type after linecheck or with linecheck passed. Maybe to avoid guys that paid to work on the type?

And no, I'm not against line training. Don't think it is good, but I understand the desire to move on and get some hours to get a real job.

pfvspnf 13th Aug 2014 15:22

18 months to do 500 hours with no job after ?!

Who runs this outfit ?

pfvspnf 13th Aug 2014 16:49

Well to be fair at least the line training was completed. However, I agree end result was a waste of time and money.

pfvspnf 13th Aug 2014 19:17

Let me be very clear , I think p2f is retarded! But I hate scammers and cheats more than the kids who want to pay their way through !
