Its sad that the majority (but not all) fellow pilots on this thread can think of nothing better than vitriolic and sarcasm. What about support and encouragement? The guy has 1K TT and maybe not all SEP!

Actually with a 747/777 rating may have considerable more chance than the scores of wannabees with brand new licenses, 160hrs (its getting less and less) and a 737/A320 rating. I hate to add this but especially if you have deep pockets - after all lets face it - that's the way the industry is heading.

Good luck anyhow.

Well he's certainly optimistic :p

But to everyone who's posted on here, have a look at this:

At least he can say that he has done some flying with his 1000 hours.
According to a post made by him in Feb 09 he has 328 hours on piston and turbine aircraft, I don't think he could have a 1000 by now, but by the same token he only implied he had 1000 hours. Maybe he just wants to know ??

Whatever it is good luck with your flying. :ok:

(PS I'd go with the smaller stuff first and work your way up )

Just to clearify, if you get hired by KLM you will be SO. You will get a full type-rating but you won't fly the aircraft actually. Only enroute...as relief pilot...
