Boeing 777 or 747 where for non type rated pilot?
Hello.
Maybe you know where pilot with 1000h and (JAA) ATPL Frozen have chance to do Type Rating for 747 or 777? Of course first rating on jet. I looking forward for your answers. Thank You. |

How about considering a CE-500 Citation as a first jet type rating...?

I think this chap has a point with his 747 / 777 / A380 Rating aspiration!
In truth he is no less likely to get a job than he is now (or infact if he had a zero hour 320 / 737 rating!) It's all pay to fly anyway! Go on; spend your money mate! Let him have his fun :ok: |
There are any number of Type Rating Training Organizations that offer Type Ratings on 747s and 777s. They'll set you back a small fortune, but you can get exactly what you asked for if you have the money.
A job flying one is quite another matter though! |

Just make sure you pay for 50 hours line training too, that way I'm sure Virgin will be biting your arm off

And forgot to mention, if you already have experience on a heavy turboprop like a Jetstream that should stand you in good stead as you'll already be well used to the inertia.

I think you should go get the A380 rating ASAP! I have even heard that if you get two A380 Type Ratings back to back that you are then twice as likely to get a sweet job! I can even help you locate a company that will proveide training, simply give me a 20 percent finder's fee and you will be on your way! It is a new program called the CFFP (cadet finder fee program). It is quickly becoming the industry standard. Act quickly and I will knock off an extra 3 percent! Don't let this opportunity pass you by while others get jobs and you do not! What I`d like to know, is where does someone like "this" ( I`ll be polite here , and say.. it rhymes with "rid-of-it" ) get ahold of the $/£ to purchase a rating like the 747/777 ? I mean ...really !! If you are that...( I just can`t hold back any longer.. ) ...if you are that STUPID , where do you get the $$$$ ? Obviously intelligence and common sense are lacking here ; doubt he`d get a job at the peak of the cycle , let alone now ??? Duhhhh....Coming from Eastern Europe , how much would one like to wager that daddy is a corrupt government official , stealing versus earning ? Maybe he should allow nepotism to rule the day and stick with the corrupt side of life ? Professional aviation has enough of this type , go away , please go away....

Whats the difference with this chap compared to the hundreds of other wannabees with far less hours, who sell there soul everyday just because they have the money.
At least he can say that he has done some flying with his 1000 hours. Unlike the majority of newbees on here who have the bare minimum 200 hours and still think that a 737 or airbus is there birth right. |
His post doesn't mention a thing about getting a job. If it was John Travolta coming on here asking where he could get his 707 rating, what would your response be? If he has tons of cash and wants to fly a big jet, let him have his fun. Who cares? There are loads of completely unfounded accusations flying around here. The guy merely asked a question.

With todays' airline mentality i dont see any reason why this guy would not get a job on a 747 or 777.Most airline companies main criteria in recruting is to find someone that is willing to spend money for his rating and if possible work for free for a while(and a few other considerations of course...main one is that they like to hire him ofcourse for whatever reason).If this guy is prepared to spend his money,i dont see any reason why he would not get a job.
He has 1000 hours,its not that huge experience but its considerable.What about the guys who jump from the Cessna to the Airbus or Boeing with 220 hours total time,how do they manage to get that job? |
Oh i forgot to say that i know a few guys with a lot less than 1000 hours,one or two of them with less than 500 hours who got job on a 747 (rating paid by the company!)I dont say thats right or wrong,safe or unsafe,anyone with basic aviation knowledge can understand,i just state the fact.
Everything is possible guys,dont make fun of people if you dont know their way of thinking or whatever agreement is made between them and a company. |
