Flybe FTE MAPS Phase 3; 20-23/08/07
Hey!
It would be nice to hear from those that have attended or are attending the FLYBE MAPS Interviews with FTE. I guess some already attended today. How did it go?? :) Take Care people Meli :) |
No one....?? :hmm:
I think people are unlikely to reply to you given the assessments havent finished, plus you keep writing the same thing on lots of threads...
1 hour until I walk through the doors of Jack Walker House!
by the way guys, it might interest you to know that of the 800 initial applicants, only 32 got called to stage 3, so even if you don't reach stage 4 you've still done very well!
alex i hate to ruin the moment, but i cant quite understand where over 800 applicants have come from. If that is definetly the confirmed figure, then thats a huge number!
Considering that the Gb airways scheme had just under 200 applicants and i believe that the Thomsonfly scheme had just over 200 applicants. |
Alex or anyone else,
Do you know the name of the man from FLYBE who was with us at de brief?? Cheers! :) |
I believe it was Capt David Given from what I can remember
I think flybe had more applications due to the restrictions on maths and science A-levels, unlike GB and Thomson |
yeah it was Capt Given and 800 is just what I was told at the time.
fair enough, that is a pretty impressive number. Good luck to everyone and hope to see you in jerez in the not too distant future
saying that the Flybe website says they've had 800 applications for FO positions so maybe thats where the number came from??
Anyone heard anything yet?
We were told the end of this week, possibly the beginning... |
nope, nothing yet.
Nothing here yet either....
From what I remember, I'm sure they said we would hear by Friday?
Yeah. We were told nothing for the first week, probably nothing in the first part of the second week and maybe something as you get to the end of the week
I was just bored in work really and wanted something to do haha |
whey got my phase four invite letter this morning! It's wierd to think that only a 40 minute interview is all that stands between a place at FTE! Good luck everyone.
Congrats Alex, I got my letter this morning too, see you there! :ok:
thanks, well done to you too Flyer!
Got phase 4 letter today as well, happy days..
Stu |
congrats Stu! Looking forward to seeing you guys in Exeter!
Congrats Stu I wish you the best of luck. Same to everyone else too
I rushed home on my lunch break to see if anything had come through but had no email or letter !! |
Well done fellas, when are yor interviews?
Ian - Im in the same boat! If we havent got through, why cant they simply send a letter to everyone at the same time??Is it that hard?
Anyway Im hoping its the post and it will arrive tomorrow. Congrats to everyone anyway |
Thanks guys. I'm actually quite surprised I got through, wasn't expecting to. Hope you get the good news too Ian (and everyone else for that matter).
My interview is 13th Sept at 10:30am. |
Yeah newbie I reckon they'll be coming out in some sort of order so im sure we'll hear tomorrow.... fingers crossed hey
Irish stu, let me know how you get on, having met you I want you to do well! |
still nothing...not impressed!
Guys, I have it on very good authority that the yes letters were sent out by the Capt who carrys out the selection but any other correspondence is down to FTE.
hey guys, just wondering if any of you have heard anything more either way or are you still waiting?
PFO email from FTE on Friday, ah well, happy flying the rest of you.
same here..I know it was the maths that let me down as the pilapt I was more than happy with
sorry to hear that guys. On the bright side, at least you know what to expect now, whether you apply to another Flybe scheme or gto straight to FTE, or even an airline interview. Make the experience into a positive one.
Ahh... got my email of rejection too , second one but this time an offer for feedback... I dont know if this is a positive thing or not? Anyone else tried more than once and been offered feedback on the second attempt?
Ahh well, best get improving on my maths methinks. Good luck to the rest of you |
Bad luck Ian, but give them a call and get that feedback - can't be a bad thing. From what I was told at the stage 3 I did with FTE recently I think they'll either tell you what you failed on (meaning you may be able to work on it) or be telling you that you were actually good enough to train at FTE but just didn't make the competition grade for Flybe themselves in this instance. Either way; worthwhile :)
Yeah definately get that feedback. If you know which part wasn't your strongest then you cant work on that so that next time you apply you can improve on your previous scores.
It's a bit late but CONGRATS Stu on passing stage three, sorry to hear Ian didn't get through, I too got the dreaded best wishes email. As for the feedback I was not offered any but would love to know what went wrong.
Ian would you mind sharing some general feedback if you do decide to make that call. PS. I am aware that it will be tailored to you but I think it could help the unfortunate ones (i.e. me) to understand a bit more about the selection process. |
thats odd Tai. I was offered feedback too
Double checked the email, it does say no individual feedback can be given. Maybe they will offer you (newbie) and Ian the chance for a non tagged position, who knows but fingers crossed.
Hi Tai - Sure, I dont mind sharing what happened in the feedback.
Basically I got a call which told me everything about what happened. The person I spoke to was really really helpful and encouraging and he basically went through each individual test, told me my score and told me if this was good or not. Apparently I scored high band in everything apart from the Numeracy - so that's where I fell. But it was useful because he has now pointed me in the right direction and told me to train myself up and re-apply as apparently I have a "very good base for selection" providing I pick up my maths. So good news really Just keep trying Tai, this was my second testing with Flybe and I got rejected at the same point each time (so no doubt it was my maths the 1st time too, only the second time I did better in all the other tests so they decided to give me a call to give me that extra push). I've also done a CTC selection process and got rejected so just keep trying. I know of a friends brother who tried 6 times with CTC, ended up costing him over £2000 to get to all the interviews and he eventually got it on the 6th attempt! Time to go back to school for me now though to push me into the "come back for stage 4" pool!! Good luck!! |
hmmm has jasons account been taken over? He seems to have posted the above numerous times on different threads...
