if any of you have useful feedback from your recent bmi regional interviews i would greatly appreciate a p.m. (i.e. style of interview, questions - personal & tech, etc).

I presume a LOFT course is more than just an MCC.... is it? Is it like CTC's AQC, or Oxford's extended MCC?

I know for a fact that the LOFT is more than the MCC.

That is why I 'd like to know,because that was one of the requirements posted over Flight Interantional.

Has anyone been called for interview since the Flight Int ad ? How many Bods are they looking for ? I have heard alot of exisying pilots are being taken up by Baby.

Recieved an email in reply to my application following Flight Intl add run about about 2 weeks back. The application refered to future recruitment.

I have no idea when this is planned for. Will get my app back asap and see what happens next!

Congrats to all those of you who were lucky enough to get the job, and to those of you who managed to get an interview at least!

Any chance of someone letting me know by PM any details reference the interview process and content, particularly the tech side. Just returned to flying following injury, gonna probably make this my last year of trying to get a seat in something bigger than a Seneca so might as well make it a worthwhile attempt.

After applying by mail to the Embraer f/o position, I got an email answer explaining the recruitmet process and conditions, aswell as requesting me to fill out a standard form and send it back to them, I was wondering if this means good news, because they might have a little interest in me, or its just the usual procedure?
By the way, could some explain to me what a LOFT course is about? how about a Perfomance A? never heard about that down here.

well if you dont know what it is you definately dont have, and yet their minimum requirements stated you needed one. Just goes to show send that application regardless.
LOFT is the line orientated flight training course, cant tell you much about other then you get to grips with jet handling flying routes in the sim-I think?

I would be interested in applying to BMI Regional for the f/o position too. However, have only been to the BMI Baby website. Could you please advise of either the mail address or the website where the advertisment is?

As far as I'm aware, LOFT is as FLYbyWIT has said. Just like OAT's JOT course or standard JOC. Extra Jet handling in the sim added on to an MCC course normally. That's what happed to me anyway.

You see, when I had a look at their minimum requirements they asked for a LOFT but not an MCC, so since I completed an MCC course, and I presumed that it was the same as the so called LOFT (since its the first time I come across with that name) I sent my application. but since in the application I was asked to fill in, they regard LOFT and MCC as two diffedrent things, I guess I was wrong. so I am wondering if someone would be so kind to explain the difference, since when I did my MCC on the A-300 I thought that was supposed to be carrying out a line orientated flight training course. How about the performance A, what's that all about?

Has any one who recently applied to bmi regional received either the bad news letter or an invite to attend an interview? I know the closing date was Feb 24th. So it might still be early days. However, I did send my application of over two weeks ago! Just thought they might have started going through the application forms as they arrived!

I also received the application form, just sent in the application itself like the 20th, so if you sent it out 2 weeks ago I don't think you're being considered..
Perf A refers to multi-engined aeroplanes powered by turbo-prop engines with a max approved passenger seating configuration of more than 9 or a max take-off mass exceeding 5700kg and all multi-engined turbo-jet powered aeroplanes. Basic ground school stuff, you should know this :)

Don't agree with the first part of your reply Addy. Two weeks ago is when it was first published in Flight.

Hmmhh maybe a bit harsh the way I said it, true..But you sent in your application over 2 weeks ago you say, and I only sent it in last week and already got a reply..
Maybe your letter is on the bottom of the stack of paper and you'll hear something this week :)

Addy, I'm afraid you got me wrong, I do know what performance A aircraft are, I just dont know what they mean when they ask if you have passed performance a on the flying training part of the form. does that mean you do the ME training on a Turprop? as far as I know that cant be done at any flight school.

In that case you may very well be write! I hope not!
