I got knocked back at stage two and wasn't told anything about re-application so I gave up on it and got on with my back up plan. Six months later out of the blue I got a call offering a chance to have another crack at the pilapt. Ummed and ahhed about it - another hundred and sixty whatever quid etc - but decided to have another bash. Two weeks after getting the call back I was quitting my old job and packing for NZ. That was a while ago, I'm getting my hands on a Boeing 737 shortly.

If they haven't called you - call them. Things can change pretty fast in this game!

Could anyone describe how to get back to Bournemouth after the day finishes at CTC? How far is CTC from the actual airport terminal? I need to basically jump in a taxi as soon as the day ends and need to know how long its gonna take to reachthe airport taxis? Thanks for any info

I wouldn't worry too much you can grab a taxi straight from the CTC building.

woohoo! just found out that I passed my stage 3 yesturday. Hope everyone else there yesterday does well too, your all a great bunch of guys and I'd happily fly with any of you.

anyone got some recent information on stage 4? I've got mine next week at bournemouth again, so I guess its on the kingair and not the 737 (doh!:} ) Any advice welcome!

Anybody stage 2 this tuesday??

i have still got ampther year of school left before i can even apply, so would you guys have any suggestions on things to take up which may give me that little bit of extra kick, i currently and starting my ppl 7hrs down at teesside (durham teesvalley) with St georges flying school. i mean from what im hearing its like SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hard to get in but i am willing to put in the extra work.

Learning to write would be a good start. Yes it's hard, no it's not impossible but you must prepare yourself as well as you possibly can. Doing a few hours is a great start. Lots of extra-curricular activities to talk about in the interview is desireable. If you've still got a bit of time to go before you will apply for the scheme then get started now. They want examples of leadership, teamwork and personal betterment.

You will, in addition to the above, need to demonstrate some motivation to a flying career. It might be you have a PPL, or were in the UAS, have family connections etc etc.

And yes, part of the selection process requires you to hand-write paragraphed responses to questions, they are testing your ability to use logical, coherent and correct English here.

No trick questions, they are just trying at ascertain your commitment and enthusiasm. Just be your self, and be truthful, and try and enjoy the opportunity.

It won't be an hour long grilling of the entire easyjet fleet, and what type of coffee they serve. More a chat about you. What you enjoy doing, and what you are like.

Technical stuff can be taught. Personality cannot (although I've heard brainwashing can help ;) ).

Is anyone is having phase 2 on 30th August? I would like to share accommodation!!!

Can someone give me an indication of the timescales involved in the CTC programme:-

1. From submitting an application to Acceptance/ Rejection
2. From successful application to Stage 1 interview
3. From successful application to to starting training
4. And finally how long before going to NZ.

Just a rough guide would be great.
