I worked 6 months to blast off 90 hours night, foc instructing to got the atpl at about 1600 tt to satisfy the night req for 100. The aim was to try and get on a different pile, other than the fatpl, but it doesn't seem to have made any difference. Havent had a sniffter in ages |

JAA Frozen ATPL 285 tt 60 multi and 130 PIC + MCC/CRM
Over 20 months, two interview/assessment days and thats it. Better than nothing but like the 850 odd pilots in the UK looking for work (And many others in Europe) its easier to get a job with the Devil or McDonalds. If its Rocking Horse S**t that you are after I can get hold of it but a flying career........well we all know that story. To be honest we don't often hear that word mentioned much on Pprune...flying "career"......everybody talks about getting the next job. But perhaps its worth hearing from those who are leaving the ranks for retirement and ask how to stay in when times are bad ? Keep the nose to the grindstone and lets hope everyone has a much better 2004. 2003 has certainly been an annus horriblis. :} :} :} |
CAA Frozen ATPL, MCC, 1400TT, 120Multi, 400 Turbine, 2yrs charter schedule experience.
Just resigned from a job flying Grand Caravan in Zambia, to come home and look for a job on mud island. Good idea or not.....I'll tell you in 4 months! Good luck everyone. JF |
