Britannia Assesment Stage 1 - 22/10/03

Hi, I attended testing on the 22/10 down in Luton, just wondering if anyone else who was there has heard anything yet???

fingers crossed for a phone call tomorrow

Stick Flying 28th Oct 2003 19:25

APLAB,

No news for myself either yet but from past experience "No news is Good news"

in-2-wind 28th Oct 2003 20:28

not sure about that!!

As the second day is supposed to be this week, i fear no phone call by today means theres a 2nd class letter somewhere in the post. :(

Hope I'm wrong

Anyone on the day suggest they could start on the courses this year?
Both of this years dates are within the 3 month notice period (for those moving on from other employers anyway) so I am assuming they are focussing on those that can make the nearer courses and those that arent available till next year will get the second stages next week. There is only 1 second stage this week and 2 next week. They have their hands full at the moment. They are still running interviews and sim assessments for previously successful candidates this week.

Were there any low hour guys going for Second Officer positions at the selection day, or is that part of recruitment yet to happen?

Following a phone call this afternoon with Ms Nash at Britannia's HR Dept, she told me that they were still waiting on results from Parc, as the Irish have just had a bank holiday weekend. The results are expected tomorrow with phone calls going out in the afternoon sometime, she also enquired if i was able to attend on very short notice

like you say though, no news is good news..

Stick Flying 29th Oct 2003 03:22

Thanks for the feedback APLAB. No need for fretting just yet then!

Jellyman 30th Oct 2003 00:05

Sooo, has anyone been contacted about their results today?? Plus does anyone have any more info on Britannia Express?

Good luck to all involved!

Jelly

Stick Flying 30th Oct 2003 22:33

Called today.
Anyone group exercising on Tues 4th.

APLAB 31st Oct 2003 01:11

Got phone call today, group exercise on monday 3rd in the morning !!!!

Anyone else attending??

Thinking about staying at the airport ibis hotel, for those coming down the night before....

MackMeeter 31st Oct 2003 02:40

Nice one APLAB! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous!
Just wondering if you were in for the first or second officer position?

I've heard noting so far (second officer post) and can never get through to the hallowed HR dept at Britannia.

I'm expecting a second class "thanks but no thanks" letter to arrive on my mat in a couple of months time...Any other fellow "no info" sufferers care to join the group therapy sessions??

Goldfinger 31st Oct 2003 17:59

Waiting Game

Mackmeeter, i also sent an application about three weeks ago. Spoke to the HR dept who needless to say are pretty busy. They are processing applications but it is taking about 14 days to get a reply out. PLUS we are now in the midst of a Postal Strike particularly in the South of the the UK and you can bet that anything in the postal system is going to be delayed by a week or so. This morning i had 1st class post that was 7 days late !!!

I hope that the Britannia HR dept are aware of this problem if they are inviting people to selection dates over the next few weeks ?

Mackmeeter, i'll join you in the tearing hair out and biting fingernails.....

Hi, i've got the group exercises on Tuesday. Hoping somebody could tell me what i need to bring. Post hasn't arrived with the details yet!

I would phone up on Monday except i won't be around to collect my stuff.

Many thanks.

:)

Jellyman

I attended the test on Sept 30th, we were asked to take proof of your National Insurance Number, on official documentation (P60, NI card etc).

We had ours at the Britannia Flight Training Centre, where i imagine you'll have yours. From memory it's along Airport Way, then left into Percival Way and drive to the end. THe FTC is on the left at the end. Park behind the building. Entrance is at the back.

Best of luck.

Good luck to you as well!

Babylon 28th Nov 2003 03:07

Britannia 1st assessment

Hi guys! I am attending the 1st stage assessment next week and would appreciate any feed back on the technical and group excercises, and also on the interview.

Babylon 1st Dec 2003 21:05

Hi Dogma,
Thanks for the advice and your wishes. Britannia is one of my favourite options at the moment, so I hope I can get it.:ok:

Chuffer Chadley 1st Dec 2003 21:25

What's the gap between sending off the application form and hearing back from Britannia like? I sent mine in at the start of last week...... I've got a horrible feeling that the boat has departed without me.

Ciao!
