Syed,
I don’t think it is a question of right or wrong. Although I must admit it is sad to see how unfair life can be at times…
It is a question of demand and supply. When airlines need pilots you are king, but then again when they don’t need them do about anything and still no job…
Aviation is no different to any other industry; very often if you have links you are likely to get in.
I got my first flying job coz my ex-flight school mate spoke with his boss to give me a chance and assess me so I would say it is a combination of who you know and what you know.
My most recent job, I got after 1.5 years of waiting although it required some serious networking and follow-ups.
But remember, aviation is a small scene and the reputation you build from the beginning can either make you or break you down the line of your career.
I have been following your posts and know about your situation. Given that Shorts330/360 are no longer popular in the EU have you ever thought about getting a copy of the JP-world airline directory issued by buchair and write to all other operators of the type worldwide?
Hope this helps.
